You can't break up the team, you have 4 expiring contracts, two of those players are perennially injured so you are not getting much for them. Russ is not the power house that he once was so minimal returns there as well. No team is giving up much for Harden. Plus these players are super expensive, Clippers have second highest cap in the league. The Clippers also have no picks and no star younger players to build around. If this doesn't work they are doomed to insignificance till 2031.

Harden is toxic. Completely limited. Defensive liability, selfish, no hustle, and can't play within the framework of any offense that he doesn't hold the ball more than half the shot clock. And that's before you get to the choke factor and coming up small in the biggest moments. This guarantees the Clippers will go up in flames. It's just a matter of how long between now when the implosion happens, and how the chemistry implodes. Westbrook can't be happy about this.

I think Tyrese Maxey is the best player on the 76ers. Man is a problem. He's quick as lightning, he's agile, he can run the court, he has stamina. He can shoot, he has handles. He can get his own buckets. He can be a 25-30 ppg guy. Especially with teams doubling Embiid. As a Raps fan, I wasn't worried about Embiid when we faced the 76ers, I was worried about Maxey cooking us from the point and drawing fouls off his speed and agility.

Harden will play the 2/wing, Westbrook will be the point, its pretty obvious. Harden doesn't have the speed or conditioning to play the type of pace pushing point guard the Clippers need. It really wouldn't make sense to have Harden yo-yoing the ball for 20 second 35 feet away from the basket at the top and have Kawhi, PG and Westbrook standing around. Also with Kawhi, PG and Harden's injury history you have to figure 40% or more of their games they will be without one of the 3. Harden will be able to score 20+avg at shooting guard without holding the ball so much. But Harden will have to play real defense against 2's and 3's, he won't be able to use the excuse I'm the leading scorer I don't have to play defense, that won't work with the Clippers and Harden playing shooting guard.

WB back to leading the bench with Norm, PJ, Plumlee and rotating out Kawhi and PG at the 3. Starting lineup of Harden, Mann, PG, Kawhi, Zu. This makes the most sense to me. WB and Harden starting together is a defensive liability - that's where Mann comes into play.
