    TACTICS OGRE: REBORN (NINTENDO SWITCH)
    The Story
The Valerian Isles, jewels of the Obero Sea. Long a center of naval commerce, the people of the isles struggled throughout history for dominion over her shores.
Finally there rose a man to put an end to this conflict: Dorgalua Oberyth. But history would know him as the "Dynast-King." King Dorgalua strove to stamp out the hatred among the people of the isles, and for fully half a century, Valeria knew prosperity.
Yet upon the king's death, civil war erupted anew as three factions vied for control: the Bakram, who comprised much of Valeria's nobility; the Galgastani, whose people made up the majority of the isles' population; and the Walister, who numbered but few.
The isles were soon divided between the Bakram and Galgastani, and an uneasy peace settled across the land. Yet none believed the calm would last....

@@DarkSaltsLETUSPLAYrpgS I heard someone say that it isn't just Vyce's future decided with your choice here, but his backstory as well. An interesting idea that kinda seems to fit.

Basically Vyce was always jealous of Denam. He was the charismatic golden child, son of a well-respected member of the clergy, loved by his beautiful sister who seemed to have no feelings for Vyce. While Vyce was the abused son of a drunkard. This grew into resentment against Denam.
I think in either case Vyce saw it as a way to finally put himself "above" Denam in some way, either by rising higher in the Wallister Resistance than Denam in the event that Denam left, or by having the moral superiority of refusing a massacre if Denam stayed.
Ironically, Vyce seemed to do either much better than Denam, at least initially.

In this scenario, Denam either follow his superior (lawful), or dont (chaos).

"Here's the lesson from tactics... Genocide Will help you reduce the deaths based on the lawful campaign" i find it silly that you become more lawful taking the evil act first rather than trying to be good from the start.

to be fair, back in medieval time people belonged to their lord and their kings- and if you refused to fight under their banner, you would be treated as an enemy and since people believed in "gods" and magic etc, they would beleive in an afterlife and so death wasnt really as evil as we see it.

Lawful means you follow orders, not that you are good.
Chaos means you move according to your own ideals, even if they go against those of your group/faction.

I’d take Oda’s brutal conquest of central Japan that led to reunification over another hundred years of constant civil war between warlords any day.
The Chinese warring states fought for over 200 years. 200 years of war of cities going back and forth. And it wasn’t until Qin under the harsh laws and reforms of Shang Yang that this period of war finally ended with unification. Which led to the chu han contention. But how did Qin fall besides Zhao Gao misleading the 2nd emperor? Well Xiang Yu executed and buried 200,000 Qin soldiers some even alive after defeating them at Julu. He couldn’t feed them, and if he released them he’d probably have to fight them again. So he killed them.
The reality is goody two shoes like you would never be able to be Xiang Yu or Liu Bang or any of these people to begin with…..the old heroes of Asian stories weren’t Superman, or do gooders necessarily. They were people who rose in times of chaos and brought order to the land. People of great influence who made a mark in history. These were heroes because they shaped the world as future generations knew it.
So you can whine an moan about your comic book heroes and do good nonsense. People like you were powerless back then, so no one wrote about you because you were useless thinking there was a goody two shoe answer to everything. Only modern people living in the most comfortable and safe times in history, write about such fictional characters who have the luxury and plot armor to be perfect.
I find it silly people like you actually think anyone would ever follow you into battle or you could be “heroes”. Just play your video games about swords and war in silence.
