    I like Smith Laye's lineup for Super Falcons. I am not 100 percent sure of Ifeoma Onumonu because I haven't watched her recently. I prefer Rinsola Babajide to Onumonu. She is a good player, but she suffers from a lack of confidence. I think we need a replacement for Tochukwu Oluehi. She hasn't looked fit. She seemed above her normal weight at the World Cup. The coach should begin scouting an alternate. Gift Monday is a very creative attacking player, but Waldrum prefers players that will hustle and defend.

    I feel that Osimhen will be better off in Spain or France. However, it should be to a top-two club in those leagues. Osimhen might experience the same problem with Ronaldo if he goes to Premier League.
    Lookman should not accept anything less than 50 million Euros. He is worth that kind of money.

    At 27, Ndidi is somehow gradually slowing down. Doesn't he have any ambition? I would rather he goes for a club that would give him more challenge, if an offer comes. At Leicester, he is relaxed.

      That man is probably 39 lol. That’s the problem with most naija ballers, cutting down age and then it catches up with them later

    On squad selection, I agree with Ayo's selection.
    Except that I would have loved ordega to be there, at least in the reserved team. For me, She's better than the likes of babajide and Monday gift.
    She's only 30 and plays regularly in CSK Moscow. I just think Ordega deserves to be in the Olympic.

    Sunday Oliseh is revealing why he so far has failed as a coach. He lacks emotional intelligence. He was a great player at the height of his career. However, talent-wise, Mikel was just as good as Oliseh. Oliseh was a more versatile player in terms of his shooting ability and defense. However, Mikel was a better playmaker. Oliseh needs to grow in grace.

    Onome Ebi and Francesca Ordega were great players. They are no longer good enough to make the team. The current players are fantastic. Let's face the facts.

    Lookman will do well in a team that plays preferably 3-4-3. Juventus is better if you ask me. Serie A is not as fast paced as EPL. That far wide 4-5-1 winger could limit his style. Closer to the striker is better. Randy Waldrum better not do what Southgate 😅did o. Heading to a short tournament that has 2 days rest between games with injured players (Demehin & Plumptre). Thin defense 😮

    The sports minister is a political appointee. What qualifies him to be the sports minister? How well is he performing? He couldn't coordinate the national Olympic trials held in Benin. The organization was mediocre. The facilities were sub-standard. He equates his physical presence at a sports meet with fulfilling his role. What nonsense! He couldn't organize for our athletes to go to the African Athletics Championships in Cameroon. Right up to the tournament, the players were not sure of their transportation and accommodation plans.
    The foreign players were recruited from top professional football teams. Ola Aina, Ekong, Lookman were among AFCON 11. Yes, it's true that the team appears to lack commitment. However, this is a management problem. It is the responsibility of the sports ministry and the football federation to create a good working environment.
    Our country is lacking in nobility and leadership. The Nigerian basketball federation destroyed a team that defeated France in an Olympic pre qualifier. Although the D'Tigress went on to win the FIBA Afrobasket, we didn't go with our full strength. The players always end up the scapegoat. This minister should start by fixing the National Stadium Surulere.

    I will speak on this Onome saga. I'm not a fan of people who can't read the room. Onome should have respected herself and draw the curtain after the world cup. She keeps mentioning Mata. For goodness sake, is she on the same level with Mata? Mata is a regular starter in one of the most competitive leagues in the world when it comes to women game - NWSL.
    Mata is like Ronaldo and Messi of women football. So she should not mention Mata again. The Mata she's talking about is 38 while she is 41.
    Is she more legend than Oparanozie who has retired? So what nonsense about honoring is she talking about? She was sufficiently honored and celebrated in FIFA world cup.

    • @EaglesTrackerNG
      @EaglesTrackerNG  Před 2 měsíci +2

      She is allowed to want to be honoured even if we believe she’s way past her best, however, let’s just be clear that she was never trying to push her way into the team. People just created a story out of thing air which led to her reaction

    • @MichaelOdinakachukwu
      @MichaelOdinakachukwu Před 2 měsíci

      @@EaglesTrackerNG
      She may not have pushed for her inclusion as she said but she just released a statement on her IG saying she wanted to retire with Olympic.
      If she has retired honorably, none of these would have arisen. Like Ahmed Musa like Onome

    • @EaglesTrackerNG
      @EaglesTrackerNG  Před 2 měsíci +2

      @MichaelOdinakachukwu yes, she has ambitions which she is allowed to. Doesn’t mean that her ambition would be realized.
      At the end of the day, she is allowed to retire when she wants. However, we cannot use her refusal to retire as an excuse/reason/justification for someone publishing a false story about her.
