Usually I'm disappointed when Colin and Michael are interrupted by their "special guests," but Mikey and Punkie's bit was adorable, and I love Sarah roasting Colin.
I loved Punky and Mikey, but I hate this Sarah bit. Idk why I just cannot get into it, and it isn't a love of Colin. 🤣🤣
@@sierra4766 She absolutely sucks. I cannot stand her and have really, really tried to like her, but she’s just bad and her humor is infantile and sometimes gross without being funny. It’s pitiful. Note Ché shaking his head at the end of the segment. I feel you, dude.

It was disgusting normalizing mis-naming/re-naming based on looks and super unacceptable. I'd expect Saturday Night Live to be better than normalizing mis-naming/re-naming people.

For those of us with trans friends who get hurt by it all the time it's just basic human compassion to not normalize it but whatever I guess it's totally cool with the Saturday Night Live crowd. I'm kinda shocked everyone's cool/casually approving it. Different mindset than I thought Saturday Night Live had but it's all good. Keep devaluing how another person identifies themself so you can get a laugh at (not with) them.

Dilbert's jokes falling flat is so perfect for that unfunny strip
It was supposed to be bad - it was part of the satire of commenting on how corny and unfunny the Dilbert cartoon is. It was meta.
@@calisongbird I think they might've tried to clip out the audience laughter, actually. That weird audio glitch after the second joke of laughter cutting in might've been a failed attempt to do so
Probably one of the few times where SNL being unfunny is intentional and germane to whatever they're mocking.
And here's me thinking SNL wouldn't be good after Cecily Strong left. It's getting by okay, even if it's just Weekend Update pushing the envelope further.

There is a dress rehearsal for the most part to hit all the beats and to deliver it with a straight face and move on to the next joke. So when you see them corpse or an aside glance to the other person, its most likely that the other person wrote the joke for them
@broncosfan1852 for example, the "ok to be white" joke was surely written by Che
3:32 when Che says "that's what the card says." He's reacting to Jost swapping out the original joke.

It was gross normalization of mis-naming/re-naming other humans based on your personal dehumanization of them to something other than who they are. It was really really gross. Mis-naming/re-naming is not cool and not funny.

Yeah that was really strange. I wonder if it was hard to hear his lines over the audience so the isolated his voice tracks during those parts? Either that or it's really poorly-added canned laughter

"I'm not gonna be a-there-a, unless it's a quinceanera" bit had me in hysterics. For me, it's the "I'm the real king of Staten island" moment in this Sarah Sherman news update (which is one of the my favorite SNL jokes in years.)

The Dilbert bit is so great. His lame office jokes that don't land closing with the race war bit is fantastic.
A lot of other commenters here are not getting that the bit was intentionally bad as satire - poking fun at the lame/corny humor of the Dilbert comic strip.

Thank you for putting this all together in one video. The "separate it into 4/5 YT videos with no idea which video goes first, second, third, etc." is a really poor way to upload what is one segment on the show. It would be like splitting a 5 minute skit into five one-minute videos and make us guess in which order they go.
