awed at the result! many times i've seen wedding dress-to-casual dress conversions go terribly wrong, usually because it was originally a unique dress and the person doing the sewing hacks off so much fabric that the new dress loses its original uniqueness, but not here! The lace pattern at the bottom (the most beautiful part) was deliberately kept in , and the new color is lovely.

You might want to make something for your daughter to have on her wedding day that came off your dress. My grandmothers dress was to old for me and my niece to do anything with. Our grandparents got married in 1942 and I didn't get married till 2001 ad my niece in 2004. We took our grandmothers dress apart and made a back flower and bouquet wrap for both of us. We have them both saved for our daughters to use too.
