Headcanon: when Hantengu was holding the place of lowermoon 2, it was the timeline where Zohakuten was successfully formed for the first time.
When Zohakuten meet Muzan for the first time, he was instantly connected with him and became one of the most loyal demon for Muzan, he was so loyal that he usually refuse to fuse back with Hantengu and wait outside his room until Muzan arrives back even if it took 3+ days.
