Pantabangan: Paradise Lost & Found. Exploring Pantabangan 2024. Plus: Farm Ridge Resort

Pantabangan in Nueva Ecija was once a thriving community when it was founded by the Spanish colonial goverment in 1600s. In 1900, it became officially a municipality of Nueva Ecija.
During the 1970s, the old town of Pantabangan was submerged in water to give way to the construction of the Pantabangan Dam to provide irrigation to the rice fields of Central Luzon, and also to provide hydro-electric power.
Every summer, when the water on Pantabangan Lake recedes, the ruins of the old Pantanganan town can be seen. Visitors can take a boat to visit the ruins.
Pantabangan now is one of the important tourist destinations in Nueva Ecija, and we have visited some of its attractions such as the Pantabangan Dam itself, the lake, the viewdeck, the hanging bridge, and one of its resorts, the Farm Ridge Resort.
