    As a Liberian this makes me so angry at ourselves. You migrated 2 countries away from home, it’s not the government’s job to get you back home. Nothing is stopping them from going back except complacency and laziness

    • @ill3gal1
      @ill3gal1 Před 10 dny +1

      @@Gyahkebbeh how are they being treated? I don't see any mistreatment, I see a people left alone and instead of working to integrate into Ghanaian society they choose to wait on dirty mattresses for the Liberian government. The president is not accountable for everyone's actions, they clearly don't want much for themselves.

    Thank you so much for making this video, Emmanuel. I hope Liberian can see how Ghanaian treat Liberian in Ghana. Where-by, Ghanaians are living a free and happy life in Liberia. I hope this can be a wake up call for every Liberian.

    There are so many unanswered questions concerning these Liberians still living in the refugee camp? The last gentleman raised some valid points.
    After 34 years many Liberians were settled around the world on resettlement programs: some Liberians went back to Liberia by choice and through repatriation..
    However, Liberians who are asked to leave the camp, what are the provisions made for legal integration into Ghanaian society like resident status, citizenship, because many of these Liberian children were born in Ghana, and their parents left Liberia during the war when they were young. Some do not have relatives nor place to live or money to start new life in Liberia.
    Liberia was once a place of refuge for Ghanaians during their difficult times in the 70s and 80s, and many West African citizens that fled military regimes and landed safely in Liberia.
    As an observer who once lived in both countries in the 70s, the political situation many African countries is unpredictable. Treat your fellow African with respect and dignity because it may be your turn tomorrow.
    This is a humanitarian crisis that both Liberian and Ghanaian government have to work out diplomatically before it gets worse between two friendly countries.

  • @soniehoff9644
    @soniehoff9644 Před 14 dny +1

    What such deplorable conditions our citizens are enduring in Ghana! Most of these people weee traumatized during the war and traumatized again in Ghana? Majority of those people will need extensive therapy to rejoin normal society to restart the normalcy of life again! Mercy! There’s hope for them but both Liberia and Ghana need to come to their rescue and The Almighty God will do the rest!
    United Nations probably gave both Ghana and Liberia funds to care for our displaced citizens and these corrupt governments stole those funds for themselves and abandoned our people!

    The government of liberia needs to work together to raise funds for these people to leave Ghana... The government needs to put a full package together so that when they arrive, they will need to restart their life all over.
    Hopefully, the government can pitch in changing these Liberian citizens' livelihoods

  • @soniehoff9644

    Liberians on the camp are being treated very inhumanely! Liberia government you owe it to your citizens to seek and give your children/citizens the outmost care of return home! Both Liberia and Ghana can be sued or tried for injustice of humanity in Geneva! Liberia, if this is true what the outside world is seeing, both Liberia and Ghana must take action swiftly to resolve this inhumane conditions of our abandoned and deserted citizens!

  • @energyjohnson4198
    @energyjohnson4198 Před 13 dny

    This is an utter embarrassment to Liberian people. We are the most neediest people on the planet. You’ve been in Ghana for 35 years and you asked for 50 CDs which equals $3.46usd which equals to $188,916 if you had saved it. And that’s just one person.
    You guys could’ve gather your resources and purchase land in Ghana. Instead of relying on someone to bring you food start a garden. Grow your own food. Collect water, dig well. These are elders that have the knowledge on how to do things and young people that have the strength. There is no reason we should be living like this. These people have opened up their homes to Liberian for 35 years. We’re ungrateful as if we’re owed something. The help hand you’re looking for is always and only at the end of your other hand..
    This is pitiful. Always a sorrowful story always a begging story. We must learn to help ourselves. 🤦🏽😒
