Totally agree that Sun Tzu is the best epic commander. I mostly invest all my universal into him.
Sometime I invest some into Boudica because she's the second ranked epic commander in my opinion
Lee Jinsheng don’t worry by the time you hit your first kvk you will have at least 2 if not 3 max epics boudica good for barbs/forts but not the open field in my opinion
I dont use my universals on Sun Tzu i have him as a 5/5/5/3
What about osman?
Make sure he’s at least lv50 too so that he has a high number of troops under his command and has sufficient enough talent points. But epic sculptures get useless after awhile and collect dust like my 700 universal... so don’t worry about making a mistake in which epic to invest in.
My main is Sun Tzu so I remember fighting a Lvl 23 barbarian and The area affect damage Made the 24 come at me

i was fighting lvl 3 barbarians and sun tzi hit the lvl 25 one😭😭😂😂😂😂
I was rallying lvl 2 fort and skill hit lvl 23 barbarian lol

andro games I prefer sun Tzu but Joan of arc and Osman are also great choices
That Martel and Sun Tzu section at the end was extremely useful top tip. Iv got CM 5511 I think but have been using him secondary on the wall. Will try switching from now on and dodge the 🔥

Another great vid, thank you chisgule! I think its worth noting for city defense especially for early game / f2p its better to shield the city than to defend as a city garrison. So that may suggest that using Sun in the open field in the early game is more effective until later on.

Hey, i am super new to rise of kingdoms and i do enjoy watching your vids they do help... kind of? You most of the time talk about 5M power or like you can just get every commander whenever you want. I got him from the campaign sculptures and i wanna use a strong epic. Tho i don't feel like he is good to me because i am not being attacked and if i am being attacked i rather use a shield. Rn i am 500k and only using boudica cuz her exp gain is INSANE and i use her actively.
hey Chisgule. Love your contents! I would on that one and and several others call your attention to something missing, according to me, in your talent order you suggest. Most players are Talenting him slowly in the early game while having not enough troops to fill a full Infantry march, for that reason don't you think it s way more efficient to start by feeding the skill tree before putting too much points in the inf tree? ( i go pick Undying fury cause i am a rage addict)

Hello. I'm newbie and i like to see your videos, they are very informative. The thing I find confusing is that your words seems contradict yours. For example, "Sun Tzu should be the secondary for legendary" then later on you tell it doesn't really matter which is which. btw i love your content you get yourself a subscriber :)
Typically, you want to use the higher level commander as the primary. And since sun tzu is easier to level up, he should be the primary until your legendary commanders are higher.
You want to use a legendary as soon as possible though, because people are more likely to focus a sun tzu primary in the field than say a richard or alex.

Chis, what's the best tree for an f2p running a generalized Sun Tzu? Like if I use him on the wall and open field. Like a mix
One prob I see with aoe for barbs is if you hit ones that can wreck you or non of them are close enough together due to spread
Great updated guide. As a F2P my main issue on all marches is tankiness. No Richard and a Martel with 5-2- - -. What is your main suggestion to add tankiness to any pair (especially cavalry is hard to keep alive)
Health and defense go a long way toward that especially if you can get it from equipment and talents
I been using martel secondary and even at only 5300 it still puts in work

Do the passive skills of the secondary commander apply to the troops? if yes does it stack with the primary commander or it's only 50%? cause somebody told me the passive will be half if it's in a rally as secondary.

I have a max sun tzu on 2 cities which uses one of talent build for city garrison an held out shadow legion hell level 25 with hermann as secondary.
I started with him
In the SL event, which build is better for defending the city? I ask that because from the wave 20 or so, your city starts to be swarm, especially when you are under 30 mil power. Is the 2nd build better and kills the units before the next wave comes or the first build should be used?
I use Kusonoki with Charels as secondary

Thank you Chisgule, you have helped me a lot to be great at this game. But one concern with Sun T, can you respond? ROK changed skill levels for Sun T. Now (Feb of 2022) Sun T 1st skill is 3 targets and max 450, not 5 targets and 800 damage. not sure why they changed it. Maybe it was because he was too good for epic and down graded him. am I missing something? are they doing this to other commanders that were great, but maybe not so great after ROK changes things? love to hear your thoughts... Thank you again for your great content!

If I wanted to rally Forts with Minamoto (Primary) and Sun Tzu would that technically be better then Minamoto (Primary) and Cao Cao?

I watched an earlier video and i didnt understand why you once said "expertise Boudica first" when in every video you pretty much rate sun tzu at the top
It's probably because Boudica is a peacekeeping commander and has an XP bonus that can help level up whoever you will pair her with.

What is troop skill dmage?
Chisgule I’d like to ask a question. If my city were to take an Attila rally, should I use sun tzu or Richard primary? The former has a skill tree while the latter is better at defense. So I’m perplexed when choosing between the two. This is similar to choosing whether Charles Martel or Constantine primary as garrison. Thank you.

Hey Chisgule! I don't know if you'll see this but its worth a try. Im a low spender and currently have a Sun Tzu (5533) with a Eulji (5132). Im looking for a legendary pairing for Sun, and im torn between Richard/Charles/YSG. What would you suggest is best for the current "meta". Also, thinking of Alexander but its too early (day 29) in our kingdom. Thanks ur vids helped a ton, im 2.5mil in a top 5 alliance on the first account!
