    My husband just bought me my early Christmas gift 2wks ago, a Celestron!! Been out every night! We've purchased a magnifier and much larger Zoom,, tears welled when I SAW SATURN'S RINGS!!!

    Great views! I would definitely watch a full length video about interesting but elusive features on the moon you can see from your backyard (like Astrobiscuit's "blue lake" video)

    1250mm with a 2.3mm EP on a cool night, 3/4 moon. i almost cried it was so majestic. i could see how deep the craters were and get a true estimation of the size. only happened once, seeing conditions just never as good. i watch all your YT videos. i wish i had your budget and knowledge. i have a $200 90mm Mak and a $60 Celestron 2.3mm X-cel lx EP. ( bought 10 years ago ) i usually use the 18mm EP. awesome video.

    With a 14" telescope you can get quite a bit deeper than the image you submitted. You have the equipment to do really high-resolution lunar photography. The scale of the image you submit is still small. You have the ability for Plato crater to cover the entire sensor.

    That's amazingly detailed.. would be cool to get a series of images like that and stitch them together to make an insanely high resolution full capture of the moon.

    I'm happy with the images I get with a Pixel smartphone clamped to a little Skymax 127 Maksutov. It's all horses for courses. Stunning images that you have there.

      That's like trying to point an ant on a mountain that is 2KM away from your telescope. Such things are too small to be seen through a telescope.

    I love to take moon pictures from our balcony in Finland on cold dark clear winter nights. The moon is a fantastic object to try new lenses and focal lengths and I have many great pictures myself. Well done on your capture of this and truly amazing details

      @AstroBackyard Sorry to bother you on a totally different topic. I am going to Rhodes next week to photograph the milky way. I only have a crop sensor camera and 14mm wide angle samyang 2.8F lens. Is it possible to get a good picture from bortle 2 skies there and what settings and exposure time would you suggest. I am NOT tracking it.

      Its mostly by luck and perfect temperature. Also its best to let the mirrors and camera cool down to ambient temperature outside before using. Helps a lot!

      No, no earth based telescope can zoom in so far, there are some moon orbiters that can look far closer
