RG405M - GammaOS v1.5.1 Gameplay Showcase | PS2 & GameCube

- Gamma OS v1.5 for the Anbernic RG405 now includes a fix for CPU frequency which improves game performance. This was formerly only possible by installing an additional module in Magisk. Furthermore, this version also includes updated RA cores and improved battery standby time. See link below for a full list of changes in v1.5 and v1.5.1.
This video showcases short GameCube (GCN) and Playstation 2 (PS2) gameplay on GammaOS v1.5.1 in Max performance mode. FPS is shown in the top corner.

Noice, can you do also a switch emulation test? From what i saw on reddit indie games or pixel games work great but not all like FFV remake

Which emulator / version did you use for Starfox Adventure? And which settings?
I’m getting massive framerate drops in the Thorntail Hollow area using MMJR3.
Seems to be working fine for me with official Dolphin (5.0-21088) with 1x native resolution, vulkan and compile shaders before starting: on.

I can do gamecube at 1x without issues on the same device with gamma os. It runs good enough
Would you say there is any benefit to using the lite version of gamma os in terms of performance, if you have tried it? Pondering about what to install once mine arrives.
I would believe it's marginal but, as I see it, you have no need for Google services to be running on a device like this. Gamma includes Aurora Store which makes it easy to install apps and I won't use it for personal things like calendar or email anyway.
I use the Lite version and the OS is just so much nicer and cleaner without all the Google crap on it. It feels more like what it’s meant to be - a dedicated gaming handheld - and not just a phone with gaming controls.
Honestly, you won’t miss the Google Play services unless you really want to play Android games or watch Netflix using a 4:3 screen.
