the reason why Kahwi has so much energy now for defense is because of harden. hrden is the system and he facilitates and make it easier for george and kawhi to function. westgoat is the engine for defense and is the second unit point guard to rest harden

I like that Russ comes in for that extra energy that’s needed. Usually the 3rd and beginning of the fourth quarter the clippers are playing with slower pace.
Daniel Theis is a great signing. His mobility, energy, hustle and defensive aggression are incredibly effective. He and Russ coming out of the bench are like two Hulks released from a cage and ready to destroy their opponent. Today was their best game! 👍💪
Theis' signing was the biggest catalyst to the current turnaround...even moreso than benching Russ. The team was too damn small after losing Mason, then we got a beast like Theis!
Yeah who cares Russ plahing 15 mins a game is unacceptable. They’re using him like he’s not very good. Harden ruined the clippers, they’d be better trading Russ so he can go somewhere good and play.

Since inserting Harden into the lineup the team is 7-8 but is scoring 110 pts per game vs allowing 103 pts per game for a healthy net margin of +7
Of course i advocate for Russ as the starting pg but the team is playing well and we have to look at the positive trend.
I am concerned about having such a low scoring avg(110 pts per game is 4 pts below the league avg of 114 pts per game)
I believe for The Clippers to become elite and real title contenders, they need to be above league avg scoring.
I think getting back to that 117-118 pts per game range while maintaining a +7/+8 net margin is more ideal.
Next up is Utah the place where the team allowed 33 second chance points and lost by one point.
The team is only 3-7 on the road.
Can't be title contenders until you can win on the road.
Would love to see a dominating performance to set a tone for what's coming....
Kawhi said on the post game interview defense wins championships. How about instead of averaging higher, allowing less points? Isn't the margin what really matters? Isn't a team thar avg 90 and allow 70 per game better than the one scoring 120 and allowing 113?
