    I had this problem on a model about 12 months again. Fortunately i was able to conceal a small very strong magnet that
    held the part in place. I hope this may help in the future.

    This is exactly what I was worried about. The fitments on the Huayra was beyond awful and Aoshima disappointed us once again. I don't understand why such fine car brands like Pagani agrees to partner with Aoshima. In China we have a saying about Aoshima models, it roughly translates to "It's already a victory for building an Aoshima kit if could just finish it".

    • @MitchSchneider777
      @MitchSchneider777 Před 2 lety +1

      Totally agree, Zonda is a good car, but aoshima probably ruined it.

      @@MitchSchneider777 I can't believe they repeated the exact same mistake over again. I feel like Aoshima just do not test build their models during development phase, or they just do not care anymore.

    Pagani used to work before at Lamborghini, where he learned the carbon fibre, he showed a poject of his own to 5-time F1 winner Fangio, and Fangio talked to Mercedes-AMG about the V12 engines needed for this car, would to be named as Fangio, but dropped that name after the driver died, the F in Zonda means Fangio or the most evolved Zonda ever!

    Disappointing about the fitment issue at the very end of a painstaking build, but the end result is stunningly beautiful and you will always know that your top class work is inside, - even the parts that you can't see. It's not much consolation for you, but for lesser mortals like me it's a little reassuring that things can go wrong for even the best modellers. I really appreciate the way you show all the materials you use, and other details like the airbrush needle sizes and spraying pressures, so thank you.

      Keep in mind, not all kits from a brand are the same, This kit is one of those kits thats not the same as the rest of the brand. they over detailed it, to many parts, and functioning parts combined, make it a lot harder to get it to fit.
      Same for the other Pagani kit they have done, however not the same for all aoshima kits. I have built many of them that where totaly fine.

    This why I generally don't do models with opening doors. The last time I did I had fitment issues also. Can totally relate to just wanting a static model that looks good over having improperly fitting gimmicks.

    Well Aoshima messed up another Pagani. I build Aoshima kits (mostly the Lamborghini’s) but don’t like them at all. They don’t think as a modeler when engineering a kit, to many parts do not have attachment points, locator holes, … so how can you glue these parts without making a mess? Fine example are the side mirrors on this new kit, it’s like saying “good luck gluing them”. Now to decide to buy or not.. That all being said, you did a fantastic job Tom 👍.

  • @raphanunu6912
    @raphanunu6912 Před 2 lety

    Awful is a strong word, you did a real good job considering this is an Aoshima kit, I don't remember any of their kits that fitted well. Unfortunately this is the only brand that gives us the opportunity to build Pagani's models for a descent cost. Anyway, the result looks far good enough for me ! Cheers

  • @davep4703
    @davep4703 Před 2 lety

    May I explain the fit issues with this kit. I purchased one shortly after it was released and after dry fitting the front end I couldn't get anything to line up correctly sand the hood part and the others didn't fit spend days trying to make it work to no avail. I tried to make contact with Aroshimi twice with no reply. What I can't understand is there are reboxes of this kit, so I thought that you may have got one that should have included revised parts to make this kit work. There are also newer versions of this car, wounder if any if thoes kits would have ever fitted together.
    The only way I have seen this kit finished was with everything glued open.
    So its not just your kit, its a very poorly designed and engineered kit from day one and then biggest disappointment in my model car building career.
    Bet most of these kits are still unfinished and stashed their box.
    Kind regards Dave Porter, london.

    • @TheScalemodelingChannel
      @TheScalemodelingChannel  Před 2 lety

      Hi Dave, the one you are talking about is the Huayra the current model from Pagani. This is the Zonda the first model pagani made, and in this case a brand new kit.
      The Huayra indeed had the same sort of fitment issues though. And has been released in several versions. All with the same problems.
