Copic opaque white and a little water does amazing splatter. I also like white gouache with a little water. I’ve tried and now using Dr PH Martin bleed proof white for white splatters and Dr PH Martin black star for black splatters.
Several have mentioned the Dr PH Martin. Just curious if it will bleed when layered on top of Distress Inks. Guess I'll have to do some testing! TFS!!!
Always love your videos, Juliana. I actually have a suggestion for you. Maybe daughter is an artist and was having the same issues with white bleeding. We tried, Dr. Phil Martins Bleed Proof White. We got it at Michael’s and works like a charm! 😉

BTW.... I think that Tim said he likes to use white Gesso for splatters.

Nichol Spohr uses white gouache mixed with a little water. I haven’t tried yet. Beautiful cards!

Love these cards!! I was already planning on using the candle dies for my cards. I will be doing all the same (I don’t have that many to make). What size are your cards? For white splatter, picket fence Distress paint.....TYFS! ❤️🦋💜
THanks! They are all standard A2 size (4.25 x 5.5 inches) except the candle card which is 5x7. I've tried the Distress Paint and it always seems to absorb the ink below it. Several here have mentioned the Dr. PH Martin so I'm going to give that try.

Hi! Thanks so much for sharing - yours will be one of the first I've ever created myself for my cards this year! I'm having trouble knowing what my card size should be - I've just made the mistake and learned that the size of my cards will be limited to the size of the embossing folder :o. What size cards should I get for the blue and white Joy card you made (which I'm duplicating - thank you!) - I see the Holiday Knit embossing folder is 6.5x4.25. TIA! Happy Holidays!
You can make the cards any size you like! If an embossing folder is not the size you want, just trim it and then create a mat or 2 for it to get the size you do want. Most of my cards are standard A2, which is 4.25 x 5.5 inches. The candle card in this video is 5x7 and all of the rest of them are 4.25 x 5.5. Hope that helps!
