Duck Hunting Late Season Mallards | January In The Timber | Into The Woods with Rusty Creasey

On this hunt we are back in the Lost Buck Hole. It's January so the ducks have heard and seen it all. We manage to trick 9 limits of mallards into doing it right. This was a fun hunt with a great group of guys. Good times were had by all. Good dog work, good shooting, and good folks make for a great morning in the Arkansas timber.

Man it was some tough hunting!! We hunted 20 minutes south of Brinkley in little timber holes. Holes that were hunted every day. It was very very tough!! In three days and 5 hunters we managed to get 9 ducks.

Rusty what kind of rice do you plant in your holes during the offseason? Any specific brand or type of rice that you always use? You buy local or get it shipped in from somewhere?

I always plant a clearfield variety. This year I used CLL16. I use it because it’s easy to spray and keep clean. The chemicals used doesn’t burn or ding up the rice like some will while it’s trying to grow. I buy it local here because we are in the middle of rice country. Thanks for watching!!
