I just watched Dave on Hot Ones the other day, and he seemed like a super easy guy to get along with, had an absolute blast bullshitting with Sean over some drinks and some chicken. This is pathetic in comparison.
I just find it unfunny to play someone's music back to them in a stupid way and then try to make them seem dumb for not knowing it.
Grohl generally wanted to go back in time and cancel the gig.
He is gonna blow up on his agent or manager , that's for sure.
Funny is in the eye of the beholder of course but I didn't get the impression that anybody would see this and think "How can he not get it". For me it was more like "if the Joker took over hell, this is how he would torture a musician".

I know this is scripted, but it's the unfunniest skit I've ever seen. Corden's whole bit is essentially "jokes on them, I was only pretending to be stupid" in the most unconvincing manner.
I sometimes have this recurring nightmare where I'm tasked with figuring out who the worst late night host is and I'm forced to watch endless hours of James Corden and Fallon's Tonight Show. Hours and hours of carpool karako versus LipSync battle, along with hours of mindless interviews. Mindless, insipid interviews.
