Theirs a channel called emmymadeinjapan and she tried it. She said it wasn't as good as the original which doesn't surprise me. The flavored were punch, orange and vanilla and the texture was like wet dough.

They sell them in certain parts of the mall, maybe even in kiosks.
Carla If there's an Asian market near you, then look there. But if not I'd suggest finding them online. They're hella cheap.
Sometimes if you have a candy store, they might have asian candies which may include something like the little icecream thing they made

I remember this when I was growing up in Japan back in the early 90s. They had similar product but it was more of a slushy goo. It was called neru neru. It came in powdered form and adding water and sprinkles to it. I still remember the taste and is truly unlike any other.

The trick to those kits is to find a CZcams video to watch that shows how to make it!! I got a huge box of those for my kids for Christmas and it's a cool "event" when we make them, just follow along with the video!

@Carla It really depends on where in America you live. If you live in a major city, you should be able to find them at Japanese grocery stores (like Nijita and Marukai in Los Angeles). Unfortunately, if you live in a small town or a place without many Japanese people, you will have to buy them online (but they are easy to find online, just a bit more expensive usually).

I love these and they are so much fun. I would suggest try the Hamburger one, just watch out for the cola in the kit, it tastes funky to me.
