Hello folks time to test some cool garden toys how about shredders this week i brought two second hannd shredders for only 20 pounds each lets see how they do ,,

Obviously the ALKO shredder is jammed up ~ that's why the shredder isn't working That buzzing noise is the motor en route to burning itself out because the rotating blade is JAMMED!. I have had both the Bosch and the Alko and the ALKO wins hands down given that the operator has to know how to work these things clearly you don't!!

colscopters Ok, It just sounds like the blades aren't spinning. I've had both types you show, when my original Alko broke I bought a shredder that was the same design as the Bosch you show. Got to agree it was much quieter than the Alko but it seemed to get blocked a lot easier. After a few hours of frustration I got so hacked off with it I took it back for a refund. I then found another Alko on eBay and after a bit of tlc it's been doing really well. (Probably Jinxed it now lol). Cheers.
