In reality, the hijackers were named Ibrahim Athar,Shahid Akhtar Sayed, Sunny , Ahmad Qazi, Zahoor Mistry and Shakir. However, in the series, these names were changed to names like Bhola, Shankar, Doctor, Burger and Chief. These were the code names used by the terrorists.
A True Story Is Shooted what happened there and not our imagination . They called them as that and what to expect in movie ? . My review watching the series
- Indians shown as cocky…. intelligence, ministers, government, officers shown as fools and fooling around.
Indian officers shown joking around during the whole process
- Highjackers shown sophisticated, protoganist, merciful towards passengers…
You also have Taliban preaching about not killing and doing un-Islamic thing.
1. Only one of the terrorists actually had some heart ( Burger?) the others were slitting throats and mostly in the cockpit.
2. There was a sure lapse in judgment from the govt. part (This is not a made up story so we have the available information on it everywhere on the internet), if the tip was already given how could they have not acted on it? Multiple agencies, Coalition Govt., International Sanctions led to the whole confusion.
3. The whole relationship with the Taliban was explained through infographics but still smooth brains like you can’t understand the geopolitical conflicts/ difference in views of the two diff. Taliban govt. that were working then. Plus the minute there was talk of shooting the terrorists it was obvious how hostile they became.

Before 9/11, I was travelling in an Air India plane and I requested to see the cockpit. My first request was ignored, and when I requested second time, I was taken taken to the cockpit. It was an awesome view. I told the captain that it's a bad idea to let someone in the cockpit. He asked why? I said what if some crazy person messes with your instruments. He kinda ignored me and I went back to my seat. After 9/11, they learned their lessons and started locking the cockpit. I wonder why simple commonsense was not used by aviation industry before.

What a great creation. I was so impressed by the cinematography. So proud with the quality of movie bollywood can create. All sequence of moments around the plane looked so real.
Great performance by actors especially Arwind Swamy. He stood out. And Vijay what a talent. Like a good dancer doesn't miss a beat
