- Guide for F32 BMW 435i N55 catless downpipe installation. Loud exhaust sound clips and driving impressions at the end. The M performance catback exhaust paired with the VRSF catless downpipes is the perfect combination with no drone or rasp. Sounds better than a complete straight pipe muffler delete. MHD stage 2 really transforms the driving experience. Well worth the effort to install it for my neighbor’s car.

I just went stage 2 on my 435i catless downpipe, charge pipe and front mount intercooler. Sounds insane, burbles are crazy. I had someone install it all for me. I will say the catless downpipe does have a smell so just be aware when you make that mod

I had a problem with the ARM downpipe fitting flush on the turbo, it’s a 2014 435i rwd & manual does that make a difference by chance
EWG and PWG turn are different size connection to the turbo so make sure yours is correct. I think 2014 is EWG which is bigger diameter.
Hi after installing my downpipe to my bmw x5 e70 n55 is it normal to smoke a bit of blueish when reving the car . i didnt have that smoke with the stock downpipe 😢 what could be ?

That’s my old Pure Stage 2 N55 335i running custom tune by wedge performance.
After installing the down pipe ( same one as yours ) does it need to be tuned ?
Not necessary but if you want to get rid of the check engine light you will need a tune.

Not with a stage 2 MHD tune.

Me having watched this video before attempting to do this: Wow this is so easy! This will take no more than one hour!
Me after having attempted it: well that video was a fucking lie and makes it look 84x easier.
nah but forreal tho how the fuck do i fix this shit my car has nothing connected to the turbo right now.
The hardest part is putting the new downpipe back in and attaching the v band clamp. Having a second person hold the downpipe in place frees up your hands to manipulate the clamp. It will take many tries. Couldn’t film that part because the bottom of the car is very cramped. Good luck 👍
I dont understand how you hold the downpipe, line the band with the two pipes, pinch the vband, and line the bolt in, and finally thread it in. There simply is not enough room, it requires like 4 hands in an area that can fit one. What am I doing wrong?
@@sircruse1422 like I said, one person can hold the downpipes from the bottom and you can place the v band clamp on until it holds everything in place. This part takes the most tries. After you have it in place and you know when it is because the downpipe will feel secure, then you can thread the screw with one hand while the other hand still keeps the v band pinched. Keep experimenting with where you can position your hand and forearms, try sneaking it through where the steering rack is. Good luck 👍

Sal you are a real BMW professional! I might get the 650i since you know so much about it. I don't think there is any additional room for hp improvement since it already got 444hp at crank. I'm getting the 2013 version with N63TU instead of the original N63 which can be problematic. I think the N63TU has the following updated components:
Updated VANOS, adopted from N55
New valve cover with updated crankcase ventilation
Pistons updated
Forged rods and crank
Timing chain updated
Oil spray nozzles for piston crown cooling
Intake manifold updated
MAP and charge air temperature sensors updated, adopted from N20
Low pressure fuel sensor deleted
New fuel injectors and HPFP
Second coolant pump added
Vacuum pump updated
New turbochargers
Addition of Valvetronic
