North Bay Heil Rear Loader on Trees

So this isn't the prettiest of videos that I have made, but I could not leave it unposted. It is a cobbled together mash-up of clips, GoPro video, and stills of the really neat old truck. This truck almost never ran while at North Bay/Redwood Empire Disposal and so when we found it way back in 2017, we tried our best to get a full video. With how the route was, that became impossible.
And rather than just leave the clips on my hard drives forever, I felt like it is better to share it.

Nice video! I think this truck or at least a different Condor Heil got painted in recology colors cause I’ve seen one of them (if this isn’t the only one) driving down 101 in the late afternoon. Nice work!

They had a newer one of these somewhere in one of the yards. I know that the motor blew up (or something like that) after filming it and it was sitting in pieces in the very back of the Standish yard.

They still have it. Yes, it got repainted. They run it on trees

As of a few weeks ago, we did not see it in the yard. I was told it had a major mechanical issue and was (most likely) scrapped.
