@American Born What difference does it make really? We all have first names for a reason. Its weird that teachers would be surprised or weirded out by a student saying their first name.
@@user-co1gi7yd2r Huh? I'm saying college professors and instructors aren't nearly as big of hard asses as high school teachers about being called Mr. or Mrs. Shit, I'm pretty sure every professor I've ever had just wanted to be called by their first name. It's even kinda become a meme on social media about how laid back professors actually are compared to how high school teachers are/how they describe college level instructors.
Teachers first names are on the schedules in the year books on their school Id and also on every project paper they give you there is no way for a teacher to hide their real name💯
I found out my P7 teacher’s first name was “Perry”, but even if I met him today; I doubt I could use it, even with his blessing. Probably because I’m an “Aspie” (too respectful, LOL). 😂
I applaud the teachers who didn’t get upset and just played along. It’s so different to me, I have never called any teacher by anything but their first name in my life! In Sweden everyone uses their first name except maybe in newspapers when they wanna be exact, they will write the last name, but no “Mr/Mrs”, just the last name, like “Svensson denied having been at the restaurant…” I even call my manager’s manager’s manager’s manager “Mike”😁 Only exception is the royal family of course which makes their titles even more silly🙄
Haha, as someone who's never called a teacher by their last name - or, when worked as a teacher's assistant or sub, been called by her last name - this is a trip. Even during my three years in an English speaking class we were on a first name basis with our teachers. Although calling anyone by our equivalent of Mr/Mrs/Ms in Sweden sounds so antiquated it's almost always done as a joke. (check out the du-reform on Wikipedia for more info if interested.)
Please please please react to best of miriam margolyes on the Graham Norton show. Also, I wish my teachers had been as laid back as this. I went to an all girls Irish Grammer School, so was lucky if I left school without being bullied/screamed at by the teachers during the day.

So many of these teachers look really young... I swear most of my teachers were 40s-70s, youngest maybe 30s. Some of these teachers look like 20 year old kids
Calling teachers by their first name wasn't a big deal in college. They actually gave us options to call them by their first name and mr or mrs/ms *insert last name*. As long as we were respectful about it.
When I get my Schedule for the year it says there first name than there last and one time a student saw the teachers last name and ask if Frank was his name and he got sent to the office
When there's no such thing as last name in your country and you just fill in your father's or grandfather's name😂 Thinking about it, life's kinda simpler here
I know this vid was jokes and everything, but it really made me think about how respect for authority--& adults in general, is practically non-existent among kids today. Shit is crazy.
Teachers names are on websites where u see your grades at now so 😂😂

@American Born What difference does it make really? We all have first names for a reason. Its weird that teachers would be surprised or weirded out by a student saying their first name.
We usually say Ms. or Mrs. before their first names but even if we don't, especially in highschool. It doesn't really matter, here. Ethiopia.
Y’all Dee’s been telling us she use to teach. Where’ve y’all been?🤣🤷🏾♀️
This among other reasons is why I could never be a teacher, havent got the patience for it 😂
Just be a higher education teacher then, they give no shits.
TH what do you mean they dont give shits? Its just that studets are more mature and value their education more at that point
