My only issue is how fast he flipped on the Jedi. He went from "I have to stop you from genociding my people (something the Jedi did do) " to "alright i guess i will join the Jedi order you seem cool" in a single sentance. Despite you know, Jedi trying to genocide his entire species.
@@tex4096 Well he already showed light side behavior early of having honor and wanting a fair fight. Plus they can't have character develop as slow as normal people because then it will be slow and not actually fun to play as.
I personally believe that its more fascinating when a Sith acts with a genuine sense of honor and loyalty while still remaining a Sith, it brings more nuance to them as a whole.

I really wish they had updated his armour after you fight him on tatooine. Sith looking guy comes into the republic base. Republic Trooper: "Sith! Everyone fire!!" Praven: "Wait! No! Why does this keep happening??" Also he's still called "Lord Praven" in the subtitles. Makes trying to prove you're a jedi even harder.
When I turned Praven to the light I found it hillarious, because my jedi knight was supposed to be this angry young man with some darkness in his heart (think Anakin in AOTC, but less stupid), but somehow I ended up making a really nice and naive guy who just wants to help. He convinced Praven not by talking about “the light” or “the jedi code”, but by going “Of course I won’t kill you! Killing people is BAD!”

Instead, i got Scurge, who spent all his time bickering about how my way of doing things was inefficient. Despite the fact that the light side choices are just has fast, make more allies, yield more high value prisoners and save a lot of lives, wich helps your side overall. Aka light side is in most cases infinitely better than the dark side choices. But keep crying Scurge.
2 characters I wish would come back in some way, Praven and the Jedi the warrior meets (On Belsavis?). I’m a ls’er on both factions, so technically all those story characters should still be out there somewhere.
A red saber? For shame, the man's a Jedi! I get Scourge, he joined the Republic when he realized the Emperor had lost it but is still a Sith. Praven went all in and joined the Jedi Order though, he should be in Jedi Robes and his lightsaber should have a natural, uncorrupted crystal.

As willing as Praven was to turn on Tatooine, I think he would have dove head first into being a Jedi, including changing his outfit and making a new lightsaber/crystal color; as a symbol of his change, if nothing else.

I saved her and kept her with the Alliance instead of turning her over to the Republic because she seemed to really want to learn from my JK. Even Lana tells the JK that Savick wants to do whatever she can to get your good graces. Alas, she was never seen again. It would be cool if she were to show back up and depending on whether you allowed her to stay with you, she becomes an ally or if you sent her to the Republic jails, she becomes an enemy and calls you out for not giving her a chance like a Jedi should. I doubt at this point the Devs even remember her though.

He is a Sith still he just isn't part of the order you know mainly populated by humans who are Sith only in name really. I mean Scourge follows the dark side yet he's fighting Sith and the Imperials. It's obvious to see the true Pureblooded Sith see in a different way to the human "Sith"

If you kill Praven his role is replaced by Advozse Jedi Goril Sevintrain. And while we're at it, also if you kill Bengel Morr or let him go his role is replaced by Sullustan Jedi Nae Nuuv.
Even though Praven is a minor character, he is actually really well written. He's got clear motivations, wants, ideals and flaws. I love it.

the light side offers mental fortitude. the dark side offers great physical strength an powers--as well as insight into oneself.

Correct. In Legends its just another crystal color. While associated with the Dark Side it's not like Light Siders couldn't use Red
