  • When you or a loved one can't eat gluten, you can't prep in the usual way. Most preppers stock up on wheat berries, pasta, and cases of food that would make someone with Celiac disease very ill.
    Having gluten intolerance is not a hindrance to being well-stocked. You can start your prepper pantry today and be prepared. I have been gluten-free for over a decade and have compiled a list of things that you can most definitely stock to be prepared.
    We are a large gluten-free homesteading family. We strive to grow, raise and preserve a lot of what we eat to avoid cross-contamination and gut-related issues. We make most of what we eat out of one ingredient foods. That means we take simple ingredients and put them together in fun and tasty ways that don't break the bank.
    If you are gluten-free and are looking for ideas on things to stock your pantry with, you've come to the right place. Many of our videos feature gluten-free pantry ideas, recipes, and tips on stocking a pantry that is gluten-free and healthy.

    Hi..this is my first time here. I have to go gluten-free and your video is encouraging and helpful. It shows how to be a healthy prepper and to get the gluten-free preps to stay healthy even during SHTF. My family can eat gluten but I can't so I would rather we all eat the same things because gluten is not really good for anyone in the long run. So thanks!

      How has it been going? I am sorry for my late reply. I stepped away from the channel for a bit. Are there particular videos that you would be interested in seeing? I want to come back with good content that is helpful and encouraging.

    New to celiac and this video was so helpful to add to my tools. You are so right that it is overwhelming when you first start prepping not to mention other allergies in the family. We found out my husband is allergic to a lot of the Gluten Free ingredients when we tried to switch the whole family! One recipe or step at a time. ❤️

      I am so sorry that you have to deal with celiac and other food allergies that make it so difficult. What is your husband allergic to? I have a daughter who is allergic to almost everything that is labeled gluten-free. We have found ways to work around it and I would be happy to help in any way I can.

      @@UnderThreeAcres Some of these are still under testing as I make my own flour mixes. Almond, Xanthan Gum, Sorgum, Tapioca Starch, Chickpea, Quinoa, and counting!

    We have a substantial herb garden, basil, oregano, peppermint, chamomile, sage, echinacea, lavender, garlic, onions all of which help to spice things up

      That sounds amazing. Those are all so great to have on hand and definitely make things taste better. I am curious. How do you use your echinacea? I made echinacea infused honey and dried some for tea, but would love to know how you use it.

      Yes, you're probably right. Name brands would be helpful. I live in Canada and we unfortunately don't have a lot of variety. It's my understanding that the US has a lot more options.

      I live in Canada too and yes, it was either when we were there. I would love some recipes for breads and muffins with amaranth and brown rice flour...I have no clue!...I'm trying to prep for long term but without recipes on how to eat gluten free during a food crisis is very discouraging but not hopeless! My daughter has developed a histamine overload so that to me is a sign that in looking ahead I better ensure that all preps can support her food restrictions. I appreciate the response...thanks!

    Your videos are awesome!!! I’m so glad I found your channel ❤️ do you have any videos on gluten free shampoos/hair care products. I’m having such a hard time adjusting to this new lifestyle. I’m getting better with the food part, but the rest has been difficult. I have a wheat allergy, I carry an epipen with me at all times. My throat closes if I have wheat. I shop gluten free, because that’s the easiest way for me. The dr confused me by telling me wheat and gluten are different but the same. I’m assuming anything with gluten has wheat. Anyways, thanks for putting out so much info, it really helps!

      Valerie, thank you!!! I have been planning on doing a gluten free shampoo/hair care video. It is so hard to adjust to the lifestyle at first and then it eventually becomes second nature. I am very sensitive to wheat. I don't know if I have a wheat allergy, but I can't have it in anything that touches my skin. I tried the no poo method and hated it. I really like the products from Carina Organics for my hair. ca.carinaorganics.com/collections/all-products Thanks again for the kind comments. ❤️

      @@UnderThreeAcres thank you so much!! I’ve been watching video after video, and feel so defeated when I see all food with wheat/gluten in it. It’s a blessing to find your channel, you understand the prices are way higher for us with allergies, so your suggestions help so much! I’m still stuck buying small expensive bags of flower and oats since I love bobs red mill lol I wish they came in bigger bags. Thanks again for the link, I will go check it out!

    What are some of your favorite sources for buying gf in bulk?

    • @UnderThreeAcres
      @UnderThreeAcres  Před 2 lety +2

      In Canada, I buy from organic matters, Amazon, and Costco. In the US, you can buy bulk oats from Bob’s Red Mills 25lb bags. (Someone told me this, I’ve never tried it.) When the Canadian dollar was close to par with the USD, we often ordered from Nuts.com. We bought almond flour and other nuts in 25lb boxes.
