Samsung Flexwash 1DC4 Error

- Since this is a widespread issue, Samsung must fix the issue free for people with this problem. The machine costs around $1500, and to fix the problem costs around $500. Doesn't make sense. I started a petition to call Samsung to step up and fix this defective machine free, which is many other users have the same problem. Here is the link. chng.it/RZBDtSwG
I had the same error code (1DC4). The small cap you show in your video was missing on my machine. I made several attempts to call Samsung about the part name and way to order it, with no luck. Finally I looked through spare parts in my toolbox. I came up with an easy solution, it's a rubber bumper with adhesive backing (that could be used on the inside of a drawer or cabinet door). It fits snugly where my missing cap use to be. It fits perfectly and I now have extras in case it happens again. I can now use the upper part of my washing machine again for delicates. I hope someone finds this helpful. Thanks so much for your video!
I wish I had that issue, but my issue was some wire inside the glass lid. They changed the entire part.
Thank you I will try this. It's my problem at the moment upper washer is not closing
Thank you! I put a piece of thick tape and it fixed the problem! Will pick up what you recommended for a longer fix.
I used a tiny ball of duct tape over the switch, and small strip to hold that in place on the door. Fixed it.
THIS! I used a little ball of cotton temporarily and it finally let me use the rope washer
I can’t believe this work
I have same machine but when it goes on spin after rinse its vibrating too fast looks like genrator whats the prob can you explain it
1DC4 means the washer did not detect the door closed, check for obsructions on the door sensor, check to see if items are not stuck in the door and you have the door securely closed correctly
Ya he didn't close it fully shut
mind is having this is. I called Samsung and they just referred me to a tech, but did not offer to pay for this issue and this is the 2nd time.
I just found an interesting cause of the 1dc4 error on a samsung flexwash. The cable was somehow being pinched and losing continuity when the top lid door was within the bottom ~45 degrees. So in the door closed position the switch would close the circuit, but the wire would lose continuity. You can confirm that you have this error by opening the top control panel and testing the voltage between the first and second wires on the 15-pin connector. (in the service manual this is connector CN501 1. GND 2. INNER DOOR S/W). With the door closed switch depressed the voltage should drop to ~0V, but if the lid is swung towards the closed position and the voltage increases to ~5V while the switch is still depressed then you've got the same discontinuity error in the wire as I had. If the voltage is always 5V then the cable or switch is fully broken. The same fix would still apply. After taking 2 hours to figure this out, it's a quick fix to disable the door close switch by putting a jumper across these two leads. Replacing the cable and the switch looked like a new lid would be required and many many hours.

This was the most helpful thing I could find on the internet. This fix worked for me. With the multimeter I tested resistance between wire 1 and 2 with no luck in any state. Jumped the two pins together.
Find the manual online or get it by calling samsung. It's not that helpful but you can see the circuitry. To get to that main circuit board, you first need to take off the top back cover. There's 2 screws in the back, no need to pull the washer out. Just get a small step ladder. After the top cover is off you'll need to remove 3 screws to take the white cover off. You'll now have access to the main circuit board.
Of course after this fix this takes the safety off so make it clear to anyone using that the inner door must be completely closed before use.
@@ewr2788 Thank you very much. Will
Try to do on my. But just quick question, so you remove that door closure sensor wire or just jump it to make like it’s always off position?
@@krasnograd I did what Carl said, I jumped the wire.
So , you put together the 2 wires on the wire harness and than plug it back , so it tell the board that the switch is closed , is that correct? The jumper is not on the board , is on the wires , in another words you can peel the 2 wires corresponding to pin 1 and 2 and tape them together with n the wires harness and that deceived the board that the switch is closed , let me know if I am correct please
It’s the small cap at the sensor… push some earbud cotton and put a small black tape and it should work!!!
Nope it didn't.
Omg thank you it really worked it water didn’t come out but it worked
Thanks for the vid. My little button was missing easy fix!
where did you purchase part or how did you fix yours?
@@LuckyLamboni I stuck a pencil eraser in the hole. It fit perfect.
What does 1DC4 mean?
Perfecto used eraser for a load and found the piece in the bottom of the washer after it was done. Back to stock

I had exactly the same problem and alarm code on my samsung washer. Don't buy anything from Samsung. Samsung is a cheap liar!
i feel like instead of saying "idc4" it should've said "door", if it could...
