Hey Akshit, I’m a mom of 21 yrs old son who is studying at University of Toronto and it’s true in your age you all are still considered as kids.
My son doing his coop internship after his 3rd year and again next year will go back to complete his degree. Why I’m telling you this? Because he was appointed directly from a big tech company of California for their Toronto office and trust me he as an intern earning quite handsome though his degree also not finished yet.
So basically there is no substitute of degrees in coming days, time has changed and everyone in future will have lots of degrees and diplomas. This career sector is a triangle. Upper positions gradually becomes less and then your experience and qualifications are rescuer to climb the ladder. So after PR with full time job keep continue studying.
You are very young and can do handle both easily. Stay blessed always.

Dear akshit when i was at your age , about Three years ago , i completed my graduation after that i choosed the option of business , but i started with experts in the real estate business FROM zero knowledge but tried to utilize my educational knowledge, after words after the hardship of 2.5 years i succedded and now in the previous year i started my pursuing my Master's degree because its costs doesn't effect me and i am financially stable. So now it depends upon you wheather you start building your business empire or you pursue your education,
But to be frankly i want YOU to start your steps in building your business empire by gathering informations in regard to the business you are going to start By:
    1)Being present in the market.
    2) gaining information
    3) Taking advice but mostly when you are going to launch your project.
Dear note a main point while taking advice due to which i also suffered & suffering as well. The point is that look at the person from whom you are taking the advice does he have his personal intersts in giving you the advice , if the interst is based on his greed dont follow him.
Follow your own thoughts if there is no one to teach you the right way.

Bro i also want to get inside real estate after completing studies in canada. I am currently in 12th! I am being so confused right now....
If i take degree more skills will develop but particularly real estate mai nahi hoga! which i think agar mai 2 years diploma mai save karta hu toh real estate mai 2 saal ka experience hoga!
      - but if real estate didn't work for me then there will be great backup of degree for jobs rather than diploma!

Both have their own ups and downs, all depends on your choice

First of all, I would say you have taken a great decision. Sharing is caring. Some people couldn't share their thoughts. So, they made some wrong decisions in their life. Infront of camera sharing your own personal thoughts it's difficult.
I can understand your feelings. Even it's common to feel stuck at some point. Depending on your situation & age I'll say, you should go for study. From my experience I can say if you got any gap it will be harder later to concentrate on your study. You will be more involved with how to make money & grow yourself all these stuffs. You can do these gradually but for study there is some age limitation. I hope it makes sense.
Complete your degree, gain knowledge. later you can do your business or job. Degree is more important for your future. It'll help for promotion, skills etc. I know handson experiences are important but with a degree it will be more valuable.

If you feel like you need to enhance your skill there is option of certification always for IT. and also training program for technical fields. That way you will be knowledgeable and skillfull so wealthy not rich. Also mentorship or training as profession role is always available in every field. If you feel like you have achieved mastery in some task. Most major companies will make efforts to not loose their trained or elder employee. So, don't worry if you want learn you can learn everywhere don't need go to college or university.

    @itsnaughty653 Před 2 lety +2

So my options at your place would be
1st - I did study about real estate business in which I can invest or try myself growing into it.
2nd - I can make good use of my community and learn and grow my digital business as in CZcams and at other social platforms or courses.
Aside from business you talked about knowledge and for me personally I won't spend too much time in learning through a degree even if it's canada, I'd probably go with online education.
Honestly cause of quick learning and cheaper alternative. Also, as I am already working I don't need hands on experience, I just need more skills so that I won't get stuck somewhere, so online courses, and self experimental learning books n all would help me more.
However, if I am planning to totally change my field like I am planning to go for Digital marketing and then move on to Film then it's a choice cause another diploma would be helpful as well.
Having a degree is somewhat an indian mindset, although most people would propose it, there are also those who choose to either fo diplomas short 8 months courses to constantly up their games or take on education online. That's my stand.

After pr you should move to Alberta or Ontario because you’re in IT sector. Then get a job and convince your company to pay for your education and secondly as you mentioned part time study isn’t going to help you a lot but as far as I know, part time study will take more time like about double the time of full time but the advantage will be that you will have a lot of industry experience. Experience is most important for a good job, after the bachelors and about 5 years plus work experience, I’m sure you’ll be able to land a great job with a pay of 6 figures or even higher.

So, I am moving for masters to Schulich, and I understand why education is crucial. But, if I had the chance to give myself a year to test waters in the real estate market without having to be a study permit, I’d take it. I remember you mentioning that you’re taking a realtor program, you should move to Calgary and give yourself a year to see how real estate works out for you. If you feel it’s your jam, you stick with it. If not, you can always go back to school. A business/real estate career will always be more rewarding than a bachelor’s degree.

As someone who has done bachelors, worked in offices and now running my own business, I'd suggest you complete your study, two-three years is nothing. You can do online freelance work related to coding at home to earn extra and create company links while doing undergrad. A good university will also help you to connect to experienced professors who know big people. Also I'd say try to find your passion/inherent talent, build skills and move towards that field and follow whichever option supports that dream. I know dreaming before pr is not always possible but still try to think what you want to do your whole life after pr/studies. When you're highly skilled in anything, every option opens up whether it's job/city/busineess/money. So dedicate this early years to gain necessary skills in your field. Hope this helps. Hopefully, I'll coming to Calgary next year

According to me a student must go for a 2 yr associate degree first (usually in BC) which is better than plain vanilla diploma of Ontario province. Upon getting PR one must convert his associate degree to 4 yr full degree, as your complete 60 credits i.e. full 2 years of associate degree will contribute to getting 4 yr degree. Also in case of associate degree you save 1/3rd of cost of fees upon obtaining PR.
"In short save 2 years by doing an associate degree." Kindly comment.
    Thanks...

If you are making more than 50k right now then just go for business.
Why? The field in which we are in dont require degree(s). Although you were right on the knowledge and skill cap part, you should always strive to learn on the side by your self.
    Why listen to my advice?
I have a bachelors degree and I came to Canada with admission in advanced diploma. I completed my course this April and I already have a 130k job. Its NOC A and it DOSEN'T require a degree.
Business will build you up and if its successful it will also build your bank account.
    Good luck for your future!

And sad part is supervisor in companies have better knowledge than teacher in college of same field. So, be careful whom you are learning from with guy spending 40 hrs a week in field job or a guy scrolling ppt for 20 hrs a week.

But I think that completing degree will boost your knowledge and also increase payrate. Also you will get to know how things work in your field. Through you can do some imp courses side by side and eventually get settled around the age of 30. It's an opinion to you brother. ❤️

    @yatharthsaxena175 Před 2 lety +3

    Akshit bhai,
I would highly urge you to complete your bachelor's degree as soon as you get your PR. Right now, you should primarily focus on saving (for bachelors' tuition fees). As far as living expenses are concerned during your course of study, you can easily cover those working part time. It'll be a matter of a few years but just 5 years from now, you'll thank yourself for getting a bachelor's degree.
As far as starting a business is concerned, you can do that whenever you want! Nobody's stopping you from starting a business after or even during your bachelor's program (assuming you'll have PR by then). Unfortunately, it doesn't work the other way around i.e.: waiting now and trying to get a bachelor's in the future when you're over 25-26 years old. It's super difficult to sit down and study at that age.
In short, get a bachelor's ASAP and give your life a fresh start. The kind of salaries you'll get after a degree are enough to justify it's worth. On top of that, you'll learn i valuable life skills and form useful connections that might take your life to a whole new level.

Go for studies that may help you set up your business later. Study IT marketing or business management or anything that is related to the business idea you may have. You get do both ultimately. Education is your lifetime passport. Business alone is uncertain and after few years you will want to study which would not be so easy with a business running alongside or new family responsibilities if any.
