Thanks! I could not figure out taking this thing apart fully. Not sure if it's the battery at fault on mine, it works if I shake it to one side and the button seems to be what is not making proper contact. Yep. Tested and it's 1.3v. The problem is below the switch but I can't get to it. If I twist the whole thing in a certain way it works. Poor contacts inside.

On a philips mg5750 : If you dismantled it and cant fix it then you can cut the 2 wires from the board to the motor, discard the board, solder 2 wires from the charger pins to the motor.
You will have to use the trimmer with the charger plugged in all the time.

I have a similar hair trimmer like this one and after all this time of using the damn thing, it absolutely will not turn off. I have researched it and found out that moisture is bad for it and I'm not going thru the trouble of attempting to fix this piece of crap. It is a faulty design. I put it it downstairs to let it run out of juice and then I will throw it away. I have other hair trimmers that I can use so I will toss the defective one.
