Awesome enjoy the fun !
Oh! A blue one! I'm restoring an s3 graduate in red
Nice one. Looking forward to the new mini garage.
Cheers Dude! Yup can't wait to get it setup!
Thanks for the films. As a fellow '88 S3 owner I've enjoyed them.
Thanks a lot for watching Alex! Glad you are enjoying them. I'll be doing more in the new year so stay tuned.
Just finished changing my HT leads on my S3 and your film came in helpful. I'm glad I did it as the copper connectors going into the distributor cap were all oxidised. Access is a pain particularly as my car still had a plastic clam covering the cap. I haven't done the cap and rotor yet as (like your's) the clip wont budge
Great to hear my filmed helped you out Alex! It is one of those jobs thats worth doing as it can solve or avoid problems. The clip on my cap was a bit fiddly and its not in the best place to be honest. I got it eventually. Hopefully you can get it sorted.
You did not show the careful issues in installing the rotor and why it needs to point to #1.
Would like to see a little more detail
Not to keep it from cross threading.... to keep it from being seized in place next time you remove them.
I would like to replace the spark plug wires on my 1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce, but my replacement set did not come with the rubber cap that goes over the top of the distributor. Do you suppose I can do without that rubber cap on the distributor? I don't see how I can reuse the original one. Your video is very helpful. Thanks!
You’d need the distributor cap. When changing the leads it’s a good idea to fit a new cap if it’s old as they can wear. You should be able to get a new cap from an Alfa parts specialist.
