Hi! I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has supported this channel over the years, it means so much and I am truly grateful to be able to see the positive responses from so many of you. This movie in particular was made during a very dark time of my life and so much has changed since then for the better and so I just want to encourage you, that if you're going through darkness always know that there is an everlasting light waiting for you at the other side. The morning will come. Much love. Kyle Binary Orchestra
The amount of emotion that shrouded me as a result of the first few minutes of this film are unmeasurable. I come back time and time again to watch just the first few minutes because it creates a unexplainable feeling within me.
Truthfulman S Thanks so much! With that being said I think you will really enjoy my next short film which will be released very soon! I guarantee it will be unlike any ArmA movie you have ever seen before, one could say it will be "out of this world..." ;)
Even after 10 years, I find myself coming back to this video from time to time as a reminder of what, and whom, inspired me to pursue the art of storytelling to this very day. Starting from my own cinematics in ArmA 2 in 2012, and riding that journey until it landed me the job I have now, it's been a helluva ride, ... but it all started for me here, with Dream, and The Beginning of Sorrows. Thanks for lighting that spark all those years ago, BinaryOrchestra!
That's amazing, I'm glad I could help to inspire you in your journey. What sort of work are you doing now? In a way these shorts also sparked in me the work I currently do now as a cinematographer.
I watched this for inspiration before I had to do an English exam, writing about conflict. During prep, I just had this playing in the background whilst I worked. Just remembered it now, and decided to find it again - eventually found it, was searching for ages! Still as hard hitting as it was the first time I saw it, and added it to my favourites.
I wish this was from the perspective of a German, not an American. Because chances are, there would be no car to drive up to a house with a family.....just a bombed out home.
I first saw this machinima 3 years ago and I still come back to watch this video every couple of months. Each time I am left speechless. This is a fantastic machinima, but also a fantastic piece of cinema. Anyone who knows the limitations of the Arma engine (especially Arma 2 with the I44 mod) can appreciate the amount of work that went into this, but what is most impressive are the cinematic qualities of this short film. The transitions are perfect and the story is focused - but perhaps most importantly, the film suggests something and is beautifully rhythmic. Thank you to Binary Orchestra/Kingdom Creative/Kyle I hope that you see everyone's appreciation for this work, and continue to make more in the future :)
Great! All of the people watching this should know about what he's really done here though, and how much work all of this REALLY takes. Finding the right animations for this stuff... wow. that must've taken FOREVER. And really, no words were needed in this, which was great. Most Machinima's are ruined with weak voice overs, so yeah, this was great.
Thee best arma 2 movie i have seen. I dont even think anything comes close to this. There are actual war movies that don't even come close to this. Amazing
Its an ace peak, symbol of death. Soldiers often paint these on their helmets, showing that they dont fear to be killed. A 101-st airborne division tradition, i guess.
This is one of those reasons I started working on video games, as a modeller of Invasion 1944 i'm very proud to see such great movies made. Well done on this amazing project!
If you were in war you would understand what the whole meaning is in this film. its the things you miss the most in the most twisted littel fictional worlds you dream about. very depressing but this video is unbelievably spot on and touching.
I can honestly say I have never been moved so much by an animated movie, to the point that my heart stopped for a moment... this is amazing, please continue with these works of art!
There was an interesting pass behind the soldier as he was holding the rpg where you can see through the tube. Given the length of the work two small hiccups is damn good! Wonderfully done!
This..... Might just be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in a movie.... This cinematic tells more than most of the real movies out there... .This is... Amazing...
This film gives me that knot in my neck; you know, the feeling that comes when you're genuinely sympathetic towards hardship. The feeling was expressed so well! ;')
I do like that part alot, but i think my favorite part is the transition of the airplane battle to the plane crashing behind the main character right as the music hits a crescendo and then he ducks from the blast then proceeds to the edge of the bridge for cover where he ducks again from a soldier shooting at him... very happy with that shot :)
I love the the graphical element of the movie that is portrayed in the film... Well done bro and I wish you the best of luck with your up coming movies...
This is a good example of 1. Arma 2 on how it's played out and all. 2.Good example of the people who went to war for us, this is a war simulation game. I really did like how this video was Great job with the editing hopefully you will make more. :)
I knew that song, but not it's name. I knew it, because I remembered the emotion it evoked during the Return of the King, when Khazad Dum Exploded and all thought Frodo was dead. The song itself asks the question, if it was all worth it, if it was worth the friends deaths, the pain and hardship, the tears. You chose your music well, they music pieces have incredible emotional punch!
This is the single greatest video game movie i have ever seen. Forget about just arma 2, this is beautiful art. This could kick everything on machinima's ass. This is amazing and you deserve wayyy more views. Id love to see more from you. This little thing is better than a lot of full lenth movies.
This was honestly amazing. proud to say i was here when only 7000 people have seen it. the time it must have taken you to think up all these shots. as a film major, props to you guys :)
Amazing. The combination of a brilliant script/idea with near perfect execution. I can only imagine the hours it took for your guys to finish this. Rest assured though, that it was worth it. There's got to be an award for these!!
This is the best machinima I've ever seen, without question. You can see the time and effort you two put into all your videos. I'd love to see you make a DayZ style machinima. If there's someone who can do it well, it's you. Keep up the good work and I wish you the best of luck in the future. You're going to go far guys.
words cannot describe what you have got here, i was just left in awe after seeing this, u just earned yourself another subscriber, keep up the good work.

so far the greatest game short film I have ever seen!

This video still gets to me even after a year! Please make more.

Thank you very much, its amazing reading comments like this.. As you can see the channel is now named something different, new things coming soon!
Music = Perfect, Theme = Perfect, Everything together = PERFECT. I really liked it. You should defenately make more movies.
Great! All of the people watching this should know about what he's really done here though, and how much work all of this REALLY takes. Two words can describe this piece of art, "I cried."
great..i saw this the first time 4 years ago and its still the best arma video i think.
Thee best arma 2 movie i have seen. I dont even think anything comes close to this. There are actual war movies that don't even come close to this. Amazing
A very emotional piece, you connected with the main character... felt his pain. I cried.
OMG that was sad and awesome at the same time
WW2 will always have a place in the hearts and minds of both Axis and Allied nations. Great movie.
Its an ace peak, symbol of death. Soldiers often paint these on their helmets, showing that they dont fear to be killed. A 101-st airborne division tradition, i guess.
Not gonna lie, this is the most beautiful video on youtube. This is an emotional feels trip.
no words can explain how amazing this Machinima is....better than the movies in my country lol!
This is the best 12 minute film I've ever seen.
This is one of those reasons I started working on video games, as a modeller of Invasion 1944 i'm very proud to see such great movies made. Well done on this amazing project!
Without a doubt, the most saddest ArmA 2 video I have ever seen in history of video games.
What got me the most was the ending. Oh jees, the feels.
Impressive. Nice to see a war video with an actual story and meaning rather than how many people one guy can take down on his own.
If you were in war you would understand what the whole meaning is in this film. its the things you miss the most in the most twisted littel fictional worlds you dream about. very depressing but this video is unbelievably spot on and touching.
GOD DAMN that Mass Effect 3 music... It sure gives anything that epic feel. Its just... beautiful
I can honestly say I have never been moved so much by an animated movie, to the point that my heart stopped for a moment... this is amazing, please continue with these works of art!
The Mass Effect 3 Soundtrack is too good. Shivers every time.
There was an interesting pass behind the soldier as he was holding the rpg where you can see through the tube. Given the length of the work two small hiccups is damn good! Wonderfully done!
It is refreshing to see this kind of machinima, ever since Machinima meant only liking COD and making montages.
Excellent dynamique dans la prise de vue, great job !
I have watched this about a thousand times now. Please make another!
This..... Might just be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in a movie.... This cinematic tells more than most of the real movies out there... .This is... Amazing...
"I had a dream, that we the people of America can face the fears that we've created"
This film gives me that knot in my neck; you know, the feeling that comes when you're genuinely sympathetic towards hardship. The feeling was expressed so well! ;')
The most beautiful ArmA video I've ever seen so far. You are truly an artist.
This was really amazing. Thanks
Not only the best ArmA 2 machinima I have ever seen, quite possibly the best in existence.
no words can describe how this was, but the nearest word to that was it was awesome
And a single tear tears down chucks face.
One of the most amazing machinima I've ever seen..
This is truly a masterpiece. You sir, are a genius.
amazing how you did that in the editor,I can't believe how much detail you got in there this should have so much more views
the ending reminded me so much of "Saving Private Ryan", and not that its a bad thing XD
Truly excellent. The music selection was especially keen.
Sound, visuals and direction seamlessly entwined, another absolutely great production. Good job guys :)
You know how to make a grown man weep.. fantastic guys.. just fantastic.
The amount of feelings in this video is damn high ;c
The first 50s looks seriously like a movie....awesome!
I love the the graphical element of the movie that is portrayed in the film...
Well done bro and I wish you the best of luck with your up coming movies...
How could you ever get bored of it? There are so many different things you can do with it.
And those goosebumps....will they ever go away?
I used the Invasion 1944 mod, I have also seen Band of Brothers years ago and I agree it is great. The whole winter scenario is inspired from it :)
Looked this up after a long time. So good! I loved I44.
Your choice of music is fucking stellar sir, well done on this performance I don't think I have ever seen a better Machinima.
still the best short film I HAVE EVER seen!!!
Nice Dark Knight Rises at the beginning, those strings really made the mood.
The music, the camera, the plot, all is 100 of 100 Good work gentelmens
This is a good example of 1. Arma 2 on how it's played out and all. 2.Good example of the people who went to war for us, this is a war simulation game.
I really did like how this video was Great job with the editing hopefully you will make more. :)
Great work! The man reminds me of my Grandfather in World War II.
thats a fine piece of art right there! i like that you can build in your own thoughts and backgrounds. Awesome work!!
You sir are one of the best machinima creators I know, makes Red vs. Blue look like childs play.
THAT ENDING OH MY GOD
This is the single greatest video game movie i have ever seen. Forget about just arma 2, this is beautiful art. This could kick everything on machinima's ass. This is amazing and you deserve wayyy more views. Id love to see more from you. This little thing is better than a lot of full lenth movies.
From the first second I saw this I knew the music from mass effect 3 would be on here. That said, this was truly amazing the best I seen so far.
They managed to cut the Reaper sound out though... I was totally expecting it.
As a vet, you did all vets proud with this one! Salute
wow, no violence, and well made, if this was an actual movie i think it would be an academy award winner, jesus you did such a good job.
The best 12 minutes of my entire life, this was brilliant!
It made me cry ... this was awesome. Great camera work and editing. Love it very much.
The feels are strong with this one.
Simply awestruck. For the amount of work and the impressive display of editing, visual and sound skills, you definitely deserve more recognition.
Still my favorite arma 2 movie, without a doubt.
