  • Josh has rebuilt his engine and upgraded to a G30-660 Pulsar turbo. We run it in on dyno and then swap to E85 and tune it ready for Matsuri and Qld Raceway.
This Cressida is far from stock, with a 1JZ VVT, R154, Haltech elite 750, 1650cc injectors and all the other cool driftboi stuff
Check out the other video of this car in procheck builds to see a full rundown

Geez running the gauntlet before. Old stock 1jzvvti + 98 and no wideband! Was lucky it only took out the pistons. Looks like a great upgrade now and really responsive for drifting

Was monitored abs safe on dyno, just a vvti gear seizing and full noise drifting caused the issue.
Really need knock sensors but the 750 doesn’t have the input for them.
New setup is killer and he loves it 🤙🏻

Awesome video, love to see more. A little confused though, Josh said it's a forged bottom end then the tuner later mentions it still has stock rods?

Here is such information. Good luck with your work guys!

Never mentioned What size rear housing 😢

    @vongdong10 Před 2 lety

That power falls off hard at the top end. What size rear housing are you using? Maybe go up a size? I've seen other dyno runs and it makes over 400hp and pulls hard all the way to redline. Speed Academy's STI is a good example and Adam LZ's chaser made over 500whp with the same turbo and engine.

      Couple of differences
      Hub dyno Vs roller dyno
      STI VS 1JZ
USA dyno readings Vs Aus readings
This has a .83 rear housing, but is only running 17psi
I could add more boost up top to hold power out but Josh didn’t want to chase 500whp or hold it at 7500rpm all day
And this is making 430rwhp on a roller dyno.

@@procheckautomotivemechanic4551 More boost wont help. Head ports and cams are holding back badly with 1j vvti head. Built forged bottom and ported the head for customer build. 264 BC's, supertech 60lbs single springs, shimless buckets, GTX3572r gen2 with Tial 1.06ar vband rear. Maintains rising power up to 7800rpm and pretty flat torque curve from 4000-7000rpm. Almost 700Nm from 4500rpm upwards at 26psi. Tuned month ago a jzx100 with stock bottom end, G30-770 sized turbo (turbosystems HTX3058), 272 BC cams, same supertech springs and shimless buckets. Head ports were untouched. 26psi and 630hp/650Nm. Peak power 6800rpm, and kept over 600hp up to 7500rpm. Torque is insane, almost dead flat from 4000-6700. The small 55mm turbine or very restrictive 3" exhaust with non straight flow muffler was holding back top end rpm. Emap sensor in the manifold next and free flowing 3.5" exhaust to see if the turbine side or head ports are choking. These engines need cams if the compressor wheel is going to be over 52mm. Exhaust side is just too restrictive.

      It's a MX83 cressida AUS delivered model.
Just cross reference the dash cluster part number on a parts finder website like toyota epc data.
