I don’t know but that new one doesn’t sound good. It sounds just like my worn out Dremmel tool I use to use at work. I bought a new one but the old one hasn’t given up the smoke yet.
Yeah. I noticed that too. The first spin with no collet or bit sounded good. Then as I used it some it quickly got noisy. I'm thinking the roller bearings in these are not going to cut it for reliable precision cutting. But at least the speed controller can tune it some with each bit to hopefully avoid the weird shuttering at the worst speeds.
