Nissan at it again with another swing for the fences!!! Honestly they did a 180 degree turn around in the last few years with face-lifting their fleet and adding new vehicles!!! This SL trim looks good. That CVT needs to go though, and that zonk on the rear incandescentbulbs us well warranted...come on automakers...full LED clusters front and back is the way to go.. Shouldn't have a car that looks sporty with a CVT in it. Same goes for you, Honda! Awesome review Joe and Lori and Steven!!! The road to 1M subscribers is looking amazing!!!

The cvt is great WHEN MAINTAINED PROPERLY! drain and fill it yourself of at a proper shop (you get around 4qts out…. Not all of it but enough to make a big difference) every 30,000 and you are super unlikely to have issues. NS3 wears out over time and will start to make the cvt slip over 60-80k miles. I owned a 2013 juke w slipping cvt only when warmed up on long drives up hills it would wind up and not go anywhere… changed fluid 3x drain and fill … added a cheap aftermarket trans cooler( they come with them now but back in 13 most didnt have em) boom problem solved. Drove it another 30,000 zero issues. Sold it and im sure it still is fine today.

Purchased a 2024 altima SR 2.5 Fwd w the premium pkg last week at 2,500 under MSRP somehow …. Have not owned an altima since 2013 when i picked up a 3.5 SL loaded for just over 30k.
First off- after my test drive sales guy goes how was it ? My response- Slow. But thats not what this car is for! Literally checks all the boxes. With no stop start BS… no twitchy pro pilot assist on the SR thank god.
Comfortable (except man the seat bottoms are
Not as long as they were in 2013 kinda small. Im 5’11 240# btw so not a small person by any means.
With the 19s it rides a tad on the rough side. However it look’s amazing and sporty so im about it.
Got this car for MPG and less gas ! Its basically a commuter car thats reliable so here we are.
All of the people whining about the CVT and issues are not owners / or are owners who didn’t change their fluid. You need to change the fluid on these things at least a drain and fill every 30,000 miles if you do that you likely won’t have any problems

I Have a 2023 Altima Sl for 4 months so far. Over all I like the car with a few complaints. It came trough without a height adjustment on the front passenger seat. I saw in a demo there is a package that includes this but would experct it standard in the SL trim level. Also the horn sounds like it should be on a bicycle-they can do better than that and last both back seats should have a pocket for storage not just one. Otherwise I like the car even with the cvt transmission. Most of my driving is around town and this trans. works well for traffic driving and is very smooth with great gas mileage for this size car..

Nissan should have dropped the cvt years ago. For the Sentra and Versa, I get it. But for the Altima with the Turbo, the Maxima with the v6, why? I have the 15 Murano with the 3.5 and love it, no problems but that cvt is what holds it back. If it had a traditional automatic transmission, the Murano and Maxima would be a beast. The cvt has hurt the Nissan brand more than their lack of refresh in my opinion. But Honda is just as bad. At least Nissan excels in better comfort, styling and naturally asparated engines. Just get off the cvt. Unfortunately it is to late for the Maxima as it is the last year and I hear the Altima is on it’s way out as well. Just imagine what the Maxima would do with an 8 or 9 speed.

This 2023 is nicer would buy one just wouldn't be happy couldn't get the fog lights besides loving this car though used be my favorite model now it's the Pathfinder I used to own an Altima many years ago loved that thing still miss it now driving a 2015 Rogue absolutely love it's a great vehicle as well. I am happy Nissan starting to get with business again their lineups are amazing don't look boring anymore love this car like did with first, third, fourth and now this newer generation, they make some good cars just those lousy CVTS in this good looking cars which draw buyers away now think Nissan is getting popular again we need the Xterra comeback again and ditch CVTS in most vehicles which fine to use in most vehicles just add automatic transmission in most models be a happy camper.

Nice Nissan Altima SL trim I feel like the fake vents like I've said, the fake vents give it style as these boring white fenders and I dig them. The vents do nothing buy it's esthetically pleasing and I think those incandescent bulbs have to be switched to full LED's.

I’ve had mine for a few months now and I have to be honest, it’s disappointing. Especially looking at what Hyundai has to offer for about the same price. I regret leasing mine and can’t wait to get out of it

  • @JustaPersonTryinToHuman365

Yeah, cuz for 34k plus TTL and full coverage insurance we want a white interior with underpowered performance and a CVT transmission, but hey!!! It has a 12 inch screen that tells you where the next Starbucks is!!!!
