This is very easy to use, i think it may be better than Sony Vegas (Even though i have never tried it yet) because it is very simple, no presets, meaning you have to learn it (well, at least you don't have to use the same effect every time.). Best video editor i have used, NO WATERMARK! You guys are so generous! Thank you!

Using VSDC for about a month now. Loving it!
In the past I was able to do this type of effect, now, a warning appears saying that the effect is only for preview, that to have this effect in the conversion you need the pro software. I'm upset about it!

.....Much luv' & props to VSDC & its Free Editor on the ease of creating the clone effect. For quite some time, I've had nothing but madd fails trying to recreate this effect on other freeware, but to no avail. I FINALLY found success with Free Editor in creating a qwik, "clone vid" of myself - altho' somewhat ruff' & a bit sloppy - but I did not care! I just wanted to learn how this was done and I DID IT!!! Can't wait for the weekend so I can "STEP MY CLONE GAME UP" ! 5 starz to VSDC... & thanks!!

it's annoying though...e.g. when you cut the fragment, 2 pieces get highlighted so you have to keep unhighlighting one...

You mention drawing a rectangle on 2nd video of area your cloning. My problem is when I draw a rectangle mine is always transparent and not solid black like yours. My fill background is solid and color is black. What am I doing wrong? I am unable to get my second video to appear next to my first clip like yours does. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

This was so easy to do it just WOW like it work and it is free I might need to pay them for all my videos they deserve it
while trying this tutorial on latest version 7.1.7, struggled a lot to get this work out, then followed every frame with property details and found antialiasing was Yes in my case and in tutorial it is set to No which is not specifically mentioned in video. Make a note to change Antialiasing to No (time=1:08) while following steps to get this effect. Thanks
I have the below 2 issues in free version:
1. While my preview is coming correct, the conversion is masking the rectangular object instead of the inverted mask.
2. In the time line, I am unable to view video layer 2 or 3 despite selection.

I'm trying to export my videos in the hardware accelerated settings but I'm unable to do so.
Whenever I hit the export button it says
an error occurred while trying to create the resulting file. The conversion was not completed! Check the path validity of the resulting file.

You double clicked on 2nd video for adding rectangle and your rectangle is visible even without hiding the 1st video. How?? I have to hide the top video and then the rectangle is visible on the 2nd video.

im following these steps exactly and my video is not working. it simply waits for the first video to stop and then the rectangle is now my video but the other video is blacked out

Hello, first you need to film yourself - we recommend VSDC built-in video recorder, Bandicam or a built-in camera app on your computer

some weird glitch is happening, whenever I insert a video, it makes it upside down. I tried rotating it back to normal, but it makes the video very laggy. Help?

Hello, what exactly do you mean by 'Extend boundaries'? If you want to adjust the size of a video, you can do it right on the scene by dragging it.
