In todays adventure, I get up close with he venomous COPPERHEAD SNAKE for a BITE TEST! Can a copperhead bite through "bite proof" gloves? Watch the episode to find out!
The copperhead is responsible for the most bites every year in the United States from a venomous snake. Their close proximity to people, excellent camouflage, and quick strikes make copperhead bites fairly common throughout the US. These snakes are packed with a mild potent hemotoxic venom, and a bite from one of these guys will send you into the worst pain of your life. But how strong is their bite really? Today I'm putting that to the test!
Leave a like if you want to see more bite tests in the future! I hope you all enjoy the episode :)

Dope!
@FintasticFilms Another AMAZON Product FAIL~ 😂
Hi end gloves with much bigger vipers like a timber rattle snake
Imagine the people falling for those gloves and buying them, only to get bitten. That company should be closed down, possibly sued.
Probably in China. lot's of luck. i would like to see someone test the leggings that I sometimes wear.
@@loquat44-40. LOL 😂
They make better gloves that actually are bite proof.
@@dextermorgan1 not true. Venom defenders cant withstand rattler bites at all
@@dextermorgan1no lol. They’re totally useless and a scam product, nothing can stop a needle. Maybe if they’d get smart and put maybe a 1/2 layer of foam or literally anything that could take the whole fang before even touching you, but just material gloves will NEVER protect you
Never buy Gas Station Sushi. Never buy Snake gloves off of the Internet from some company you’ve never heard of…
Don't pull the cape on superman, don't spit in the wind, and don't mess around with some guy named Jim.
@@walkingwolf8072i thought it was dont piss in the wind😂
Probably best not to do either.
What? Gas Station Sushi is great.
Those gloves look like something a construction worker would use,not for handling deadly snakes
They’re exactly that. They’re actually welding gloves. I have a few pairs and one of them look exactly like that pair of gloves. It’s insane that companies can sell these gloves, misleading the consumer to believe they’re “snake bite proof”! The real snake bite proof gloves are called “Venom Defender” gloves. They’re anywhere between $300-$500 a pair.
The gloves are made by sewing. Sewing uses needle. Why do they think a snake's fang is far different from a needle?
Because a steel.needle is much harder than a hollow bone Fang. There are real snake proof materials that are stitched together. There's also fakes that will get you killed.
Imagine buying these gloves for a snake to bite your ankles instead of
its crazy that the fangs went through those gloves. Its so awesome that you did this test
It is crazy! Shows you how powerful that bite is
That slow mo bite is crazy! shows you why they are not to be messed with
Definitely
That's why you wear gaiters or snake boots.
Scratch those gloves off my need list
Smart not to test it for real, common sense but here in CZcams it is not always the case. - Good video !
You must brought them on temu😂
Haha
One look at those gloves and I could have told you they weren't snake proof.
Just welder's glove with another piece of material added.
Very good video! Thanks for producing and sharing this! I'm in Cali and have experimented with Mojave Greens just like you're doing there.
the gaboon would be the ultimate test
I bought the same gloves after watching this video for my wife!
They were kind of expensive but after the 2 million dollar insurance policy came through, I'm pretty sure it was a good investment .😂
Bro narrowly avoided death by using the fake hand
Awesome video, thanks for sharing.
Really well done. Ya always wonder about the gloves.
Great video! Thank you Sir!!!!!
I've seen, photographed and rescued over 700 copperheads in my lifetime and well over half of them "freeze" when i get near them relying on their camouflage even if I place them out in the open.
Hurts like napalm and battery acid injection, but after about a week of pain, it returns to normal
Very good presentation Well done.
Wow that's crazy !
I thought there was NO WAY the copperhead bite would penetrate the "snake bite proof" gloves...wow!
Snake Gloves?????
surely snakes don't have any hands at all, LOL.
Good video and to be honest, I think that was just a warning bite. If that snake latched on for more than a fraction of a second, the bite would be deeper and contain venom.
"Let's make a product with implied promises and wait for the lawsuits to roll in!" Yikes! 🤪
. . . And that was a little copperhead snake.
one look at the gloves you could see they were what i call normal cheap work gloves.
Lol
I’ve seen 4 copperheads. 3 were on paved paths. They are so chill. They were just crossing the path in the early spring. One was a super young baby one. Maybe 7 inches and the super green tail. He had a butchered head though, he was dead
The Eastern Diamondback is known for the ability to bite through 'snake-proof' boots. Copperhead bites might be the most common, but are also more likely to dry bite. A test for the diamondback on these gloves would be interesting.
Now I’m really concerned about the snake proof boots
You did not just use a flashlight in broad daylight, did you?😂
Looks like a smiley face😊
Never seen anybody handle a snake with gloves.
This reminds me of the cheap bulletproof ski mask.
Cool video, bad gloves! How did you piss the snake off? I've held those & they were like garter snakes. Garter snakes bite too!
Different snakes have different personalities, so I was just lucky that this snake was more agitated than some other copperheads haha
Damn those guys trying to send us upstairs
Those appear to be ranch hand leather gloves that you would use in Texas, but for barbed wire, livestock fence, galvanized steel sheets, etc. I cannot believe someone has not sued the living heck out of the manufacturer and the vendor and shut that operation down. I'm looking for a small women's pair of snake boots or unisex pair and they are hard to find! I'm hoping late summer or early fall will bring new stock!!! SHEESH!!!!
Glove buyer, be extremely cautious before you spend your $$$$.
Did you consider there could have been venom on the glove and prostetic?
I did. That's why I waited almost 8 hours to pull the hand out of the glove and film it up close, but even then I washed my hands off as soon as I was done
Good job! STAY SAFE! Never rely on false marketing!
I love how long it took me to find any copperheads that weren't dead, and you walk up, and TA-DA! Not hatin but that was booty.
Also, you'd mentioned your surprise to him staying still as I was thinking "I'm surprised he didn't bolt. I digress..
My original edit was in reference to their "freeze" response not being common with agkistrodon contortrix.
I recently caught a juvenile and young adult. True to its character the larger put up a hell of a fight, but the juvenile TOTALLY froze. Seeing this makes me wonder if this is a recently developed defense mechanism for them. Sorry for the novel, I was just curious.
I typically notice juveniles freezing while the adults try to get away or hold their ground. Most of the time the adult copperheads just want to get away and don't put up much of a fight, but obviously every snake has a different temperament
King snakes mimic rattlers too but they’re just smart asses
what did the company test the gloves on? a green garden snake that's piss poor work!
Try those gloves on the Eastern diamondback rattlesnake.
Well never mind!
Copperhead cottonmouth and rattlesnake does not describe three species of snakes . I'm sure someone has already commented on this but there are currently 2 recognized species of copperheads in North America as well as 2 recognized species of water moccasin and about 30 something species of rattlesnake...
So, the question becomes are there any snake bite proof gloves? Also, I have a pair of boots that are supposed to be snake bite proof, but they have layers of leather stitched together and of course to sew something together takes a sewing needle, kind of like fangs on a snake, so ...
Imagine an 8ft eastern diamondback hitting that glove. They inhabit Appalachia
The fangs on a diamondback would get through the gloves with ease lol
The eastern diamondback does not inhabit Appalachia. Its range extends from extreme southern North Carolina through eastern South Carolina, southern Georgia, Florida, extreme southern Alabama and Mississippi, and extreme eastern Louisiana. It is a snake of coastal lowland palmetto and scrub and is generally found within 90-100 miles of the Atlantic coast and Gulf of Mexico coast. The timber rattlesnake is the most common rattler of Appalachia.
The Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake range is from Southeastern NC where they are an endangered species and protected by state and federal wildlife laws all the way to Eastern Louisiana coastal plains , barrier islands and long leaf pine forest they don't live anywhere that doesn't border the Atlantic Ocean or Gulf Coast .
Was that possibly a dry strike???
Him touching those gloves and the hand after that snake bite without rubber gloves on is probably a bad idea
Was expecting real hand in glove test
Good thing you didn't use your real hand 😮💨
@selenaescutia8942.
Why?
I honestly thought the bite was very weak almost like a bluff type strike....lol that snake hit and didn't get phased by it.
Their strike isn’t nothing compared to a gaboon.
True. Gaboons have a CRAZY strike
That’s scary 😳
Did the manufacturer of the gloves claim they were tested to any U.S., European, or other internationally-recognized standard? If so, which one(s)?
Earlier today, i saw the cops chase some dude into the street and tackle his ass. It had everyone looking
If you believe they’re bite proof, I’ve got some x-ray specs to sell for $1000.
😂
Good education . Those gloves 🧤 can jeopardize your life . Not for snakes 🐍 bites
Ordered the gloves from Wish?
Did you try it with a rattle snake? I believe you have the eastern diamondback there.
Here in Kansas City (where I live) we have the Timber Rattlesnake and Massasauga Rattlesnake. I really want to test the gloves against a rattlesnake but they're so rare around here that it would probably take weeks of searching. I'll be down in South Florida next month where I can test them against Water Moccasins and Eastern Diamondbacks!
The only thing snake bite proof would be Sir Lancelot's full body armor. That is a fraudulent claim by the glove maker.
Did your hand die?
Talk about false advertising 🤪
there is a video on YT that a guy uses welding gloves handling aviper and tought he was save and he wasn't and got a bite right throug the gloves. look similar to your gloves
As a professional herpetologist specialising with venomous snakes, I would never trust any gloves to protect me from a bite.
(I have spent over 3 decades extracting venom from a wide range of species for medical research, so do have a lot of experience).
That's fascinating! I've always wanted to film an episode on venom extraction
Just think what a puff adder would do to those gloves.
It would get through the gloves with EASE lol
Not sure what a “HYPERdermic needle” is. I’ve heard of a HYPOdermic needle though. lol
Pretty sure the Copperhead absolutely does NOT have near one of the faster strikes in the world bro! That said, great video!
Say "pretty sure" then "absolutely does not"
Things like the baboon viper, bushmaster etc are much faster. You are correct. Lots of other that are fast but it still is fast.
@@CbrF4i600cc Lol! Yes Grammar Master! 🤣
@@robertmauch7594baboon viper 😂 that's funny 😁
Gaboon. My bad my auto correct got me.@richardhincemon
Let's give him a great big hand 🖐🐍
Great video!! Makes me not trust the snakebite " proof" gloves I bought 2 years ago.
You need to study up on pit vipers. Copperheads are not the quickest in striking in the world. But good to know about the gloves.
He said one of the quickest bites of any Pit Viper. He didn't say in the world. But your point is taken. I think he's getting the Copperhead confused with the Cottonmouth.
I said they have one of the quickest strikes for a pit viper, not the quickest. Research has shown this to be a true fact, even though there are some other pit vipers out there with a quicker strike
Real snake bite proof gloves are called “Venom Defender” gloves. They range from $300-$500 a pair, and they’re definitely not welding gloves like these. These gloves are welding gloves for Stick & MIG welding.
Although they may look like welding gloves, that's not their intended purpose. These gloves are made by a company that exclusively deals in animal-handling products
Those appear to be nothing more than welding gloves with a different name.
Bro,I wanna see you go to a zoo or get a private handler who has a gabbon viper ,since they have the largest fangs of a pit viper,I live in east Tennessee,ty.
In the start of the video I was thinking: "Copperhead, and a tiny one, well ok, probably next video gonna be with something larger, bushmaster would be cool", but nope, the gloves are trash.
I was surprised the gloves didn’t hold up. With the success of this video I’ll definitely be testing out more high quality gloves against bigger snakes!
Copperheads aren’t big biters. They’re generally more calm and tame vs rattlers
Just use a combination of your bare hands and a snake hook.
I'm surprised to hear even you say "It's mimicking a rattlesnake". It isn't." Tail shaking is something almost all snakes do when annoyed or threatened. Every time I hear someone say "It's mimicking" is the most annoying thing to me. Like the snake happened to see a rattlesnake doing that and noticed threats tend to avoid it so they decided to do it too. That's what it sounds like to me which of course is not the case whatsoever. It's just a defensive mode of most snakes venomous or not.
Imagine these gloves V a Gabby 💀⚰️👋🏻🤦🏻♀️
Are you most likely to be bitten on the leg ?
Definitely. Most snake bites happen when a person steps right next to/on top of a snake they didn't see and the snake bites their leg or foot
I live in Texas where copperheads and rattlesnakes are plentiful. Bites on the hand are quite common as well. People reach down in their gardens or to clear brush on their property and don’t watch where they are putting their hands.
Yes, they are just welding gloves
Not sure I'd chance this on a Gabon Viper.
The bite-proof gloves that Dingo Dinkelman uses are legit and they cost about $500-600.
Is it possible to get effected from absorbing dry snake venom into the pores?
Might be possible but definitely highly unlikely. If venom isn't put into your body through a bite/sting, it's unlikely to do any damage
@@FintasticFilms what if you were hot and sweaty with open pores?
Known as the finger rotter, right?
I don't see any visual evidence of venom. Was this a dry bite? I saw on another video where a guy walking a trail got bitten by a copperhead but it was a dry bite. You'll never get that kind of courtesy bite from a mamba 🙂
People, don't try this at home. Don't.........temp.........fate.
Won’t be buying those gloves 😮
Thanks for the watch Suzanne!
Change the title of this video:
NOT BITE PROOF GLOVES VS SNAKE
you should have carried out the full test with a Rattlesnake.. now that would have been amazing.. Not Impressed
I would've loved to but they're way too hard to find where I'm located. And getting the permits and permission to film with them in an enclosure has always been so difficult.
I think this was a perfect first test. I'll eventually work my way up to testing the gloves with a rattlesnake!
@@FintasticFilms Come on out to Aridzona. We have like 11 different species.
I think the company that makes these gloves should have regulatory repercussions brought against them for something that clearly does not work and can have potential harm for those who buy this fraudulent product !
No the snake by nature shakes the tail. Fox snakes bull snakes and sometimes Garter snakes even do this. I was a herpetologist for 11 years
These gloves sounds like snake oil to me.😮
Those looked like cheap welding gloves
This is Russel’s viper
The people that make these gloves should be forced to wear them
It’s Teflon bet
