He's been around since the 90s and every group that he produced has been amazing and award winning. He had made many classic gospel tunes.

He’s a gospel legend! Kirk is one of the first artist to combine gospel with hip hop so it could reach a bigger audience. He revolutionized the sound of gospel to a more modern sound which is why more gospel artist are open to collating with artist of different genres.
i would definitely refer to him as on of the Godfathers of modern gospel. he's a choir director and songwriter. i think he sings a little but songwriting and arranging is really what he does best. on his albums there's always a choir singing the songs and he's doing the ad libs and directing them. all those harmonies and stuff u hear them doing are his arrangements! he's for sure a legend especially in the black community. loved this reaction btw!
I grew up with his, Fred Hammond's, and Marvin Sapp's music, among others, in church. I miss those days.
He's the DJ Khaled of Gospel music!

Kirk Franklin has been in this industry since around the early '90s. His first song that was ever on the radio it's called Joy. His first album dropped in 93. He has 13 albums one remix album and a bunch of compilation albums. He has 16 Grammys 22 Dove awards 23 stellar awards and a host of other awards. He's like a really big deal in all genres of music. You should do reactions to his music and albums. He's a great arranger composer musician singer rapper writer producer. He even has his own XM radio station. And a show on BET called sunday's best.

A lot of the band is Dallas area musicians. Matthew Ramsey, bass, has been around a lot of gospel and r&b acts from there. Shaun Martin plays with Snarky Puppy and I believe got the Grammy from their album Silva, which is a fantastic listen as well.
He now has 6 grammys i believe, and only 1 from a snarky puppy.
