Punk winning was absolutely the right decision. Both Mox and Danielson are indy darlings, Punk is an actual superstar. Mox got some numbers up early on when AEW launched, and Danielson had a great 3 week run, (look it up) but after all of that, it was Punk who got the viewers.
Not to mention the fact that the EVP's of AEW literally drive away anywhere from 200 to 300 thousand viewers.

Extremely deserved. This man keeps putting the company on his back in times of need and chaos. From Covid to the backstage mess we saw recently, he always steps up. This man was supposed to go on vacation and here he is, making sure AEW has the star power to put together a tournament and a great match like this. He really doesn't need to do it, he is a made man in this business, he can chill and just go with the flow but he steps the fk up and rallies the locker room and says "fk vacations" to stay and carry that title once again. Show some respect.

Actually good booking contrary to what most think. Bryan winning the title EVENTUALLY will be a huge moment if/when he wins from a heel (e.g. MJF). A lot of fans don’t understand the value of longer term story telling and a decent story arc.

I know it's not Mox's fault, what happened with Punk, but hear it out. Mox loses the belt to Punk the first time, punk gets injured.
Mox is then made interim champion, loses AGAIN to Punk. What happened at All Out happens at All Out and Punk has to relinquish the title. It would've been better to have Bryan (or better yet, an AEW original, who was in the tournament) win the title instead. Now we have to wait for history to repeat itself for a third time when Punk returns....unless, God Willing, MJF cashes in his poker chip before then

And no, Ambrose isn't dropping the title in under a month to go on vacation. His vacation was a 6 week vacation, he's still wrestling at Garbage Championship Wrestling on October 8'th, and 6 weeks from that is Full Gear. Dean Ambrose is not missing Full Gear, he's wrestling MJF there.
Sadly he isn’t gonna be getting one soon since he’s gonna be a transitional champion for the time being right now until MJF takes it. ): Definitely sometime in the future though!
