I remember TX - didn't seem to last too long. Then there was a Christmas Knock your Block Off which was shown with Central frontcap after TX had finished.
TX was basically a Granada programme. Central offered the quiz Knock Your Block Off which could have easily been a separate programme but was interspersed into TX in pieces round by round. TX didn't work at all and TVS had to rush in No73 early in January 1986 when it was supposed to start in April
One thing that didn't help the original scheduling was built around World Of Sport which had to be rejigged after World Of Sport ended on the 28th September
Quite interesting that the endcap almost referred to Children's ITV as if it was a television company in itself. I assumed that Granada mostly produced TX. But then again, Children's ITV used Central's facilities when they did the monthly guest presenter thing, so...
Pretty much like when World of Sport or The Big Match Live was on - whichever ITV companies contributed to it, it was always billed on screen as an ITV Sport production.
There's also Sue Robbie, former Granada continuity announcer before moving up to present _First Post,_ Children's ITV's answer to _Points of View,_ and _Connections,_ a quiz show for sixth form and college students. Both produced by Granada. She also did a month of Children's ITV continuity throughout May 1984 from the set of _First Post._

Tony Slater being wildly enthusiastic makes this look like a spoof of kids TV!
And then the Oblivion Boys in the video too! What a treat.
This was before _Whose Line,_ a whole three years before it.

I never knew Tony Slattery was on kids TV. And Alison Dowling from Jupiter Moon.
This was a few years before he became the bad boy of televised short-form improv on Whose Line.

@@antster1983 You forgot Hold Tight. The snakes and ladders quiz show made at Alton Towers
I don’t remember seeing a “Childrens ITV Production” endcap on any programmes when I was growing up 😮. I would have been 12 when this was shown.
What's the song?
