- Climbing the food chain to learn to catch the bait to then get the beasts. Follow me out as I casts around The Red River looking for some Goldeye. Let's take a look at what I am using to get these fish, while just simply catching Goldeye.

Thank You For Watching! See you next time.
Good old bobber and night crawler. Definitely back to our roots right there.
You know it’s a good day when you stop giving the “off he goes” tag line.
Lol phillip, I do also annoy myself when I repeat things over and over and over and over.
Great advice and informative. I always have alot of fun when the numbers are high, regardless of species. Nice work
Thanks PointLife!
Bagus sekali ini spot mancingnya....
Yes, I have had some good fishing here.
Good Job Bro! Thank you for your hard work! Keep going
Thanks, will do!
Well done. A 1001 goldeyes. Great stuff!
Glad you enjoyed it
I live near the red it has many species but huge catfish and walleye are good. look like a nice flooded slack area for carp
Indeed, I snagged one there, but have yet to get them on corn.
I use shrimp for the gold eyes
Interesting, I will give that a try. Thanks
Great video 👍.
Thanks Tim
Fishing suggestion: Lake Metigoshe for Bluegill.
I made a note of that. Thanks.
It's been hot out. Can only imagine what you've been through.. I was catching goldeye from spring to the heat wave on inline spinners and spoons, they were hitting it hard!
That birds nest.though.. ouch... Looked like a pain in the butt!
That's what I get for using to light a setup for your line, but it is a good excuse to buy new line.
Nice run of goldeye, time to get out the smoker! 😋
By the way, didn't you catch pike, red horse sucker and rock bass etc. on the south side of the Courchaîne bridge, where the shore is rather rocky? It is amazing what a few hundred meters and a different terrain makes!
Thanks. I have not fished south of the bridge yet, but I have noticed that a few hundred yards can change the type of fish you can get. And that fish aren't always in the deep water.
Hey Vernon...have u tried eating of those golden eye fish yet ?...if so what would u consider them to taste like ....trout maybe ?
I have not tried them Robert. People often smoke them. I don't think they compare well to trout. People have said they are watery and mushy. I would rather go for walleye as a better eating fish.
@FinallyFishing yeah I was thinking they are more like a gizzard shad or something like that
Nice fishing, which part of the red was that area? Thanks
Thanks, this is the Courchaine Bridge just south of St Norbert.
