I am not only fed up with Florida, I am fed up with America. This country is too far out of control. People are suffering and this should not be happening. It's time to find another country to call home because no one in this state nor in this country cares at all.

      Solution, leave.

The sad fact of this whole issue is that there simply isn't, and can't be, a "solution" for this problem that most home owners in Florida will like. The risks and costs are rising. NFIP is billions of dollars in debt, and there is no reason why the rest of America should continue to subsidize it.
I think everyone with an ounce of compassion can see that this is painful for homeowners in Florida; decency will hopefully allow a period to adjust, and an orderly resettlement. But the simple fact is that far, far too many homes cannot be sustained. It's reality now.

They should put a cap on it. What is your problem? You might make a lot more money than most people. This state insurance was put out for homes that you could not get insured anywhere else and now they ensure everybody.. maybe a handful of people that’s not a lot of them have their insurance from another state

what i do not understand is how the insurance companies are at minimum required to do is to create and price their rates by historical data. there are hundreds of thousands of square miles in florida that have not seen a hurricane in twenty years or more, and some areas that NEVER have - versus coastal areas that obviously should cost much more to insure.

Solution is to get roofing companies from
Ripping off insurance companies and the no fault rules for car accidents

Their house payments are going at five and $600 a month. So they just need to quit paying and y’all figure it out and then they’ll pay when you give me a reasonable rate.. my sister called about that I won’t give you this. There is no damn way I’m giving you this you’re in my payment $500. Do you know what they brought it down to before this started two years ago imagine that how did they do that refused to pay?. they threaten they take your house they don’t want your house they don’t want nothing to do with it, so just don’t pay it 0:50

How many houses do you think you’re going to get back this year? I hope you get them all back. I hope everybody just don’t pay you can buy another one the next week, but yeah, just don’t pay the insurance they’re not gonna throw you out but they gotta do everybody out of their house in the state of Florida. No they’re not Long as they’re charged they’re charging you way too much. You agreed to pay them out when you bought that house don’t pay the rates are trying to charge you. and most people cannot pay the rates. They’re trying to charge them so you can sell your house for at least a year they give you some time to get some money to get another one maybe get a better state. 3:06

Can you blame companies not wanting to insure homes in a hellhole like Florida?

  • @charlottehall3864

So we need the president to do it because our governor will do nothing. He hadn’t even been in Florida maybe a month in the last two years.

Just quit paying it that’s my answer. If they wanna do that quit paying they better be glad the money they get 66 years without a claim never had any effect from a hurricane or anything and I’ve in Florida all my life so once in a while they get a bad year too bad they’ve been collecting money forever. 0:15

Solution is cut costs which is weather and code determined at cost of materials and labor. Subside insurance with money from where that get no FL benefits.

LMAO, like Florida Government can actually solve anything. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣You cannot solve a Societal Consumer Issue when your primary concern is Corporate Profits. That is the same reason America doesn't have M4A, it is too complicated to have M4A and preserve massive Profits for the Corporate Donor Class!
