  • The $500 million Museum of the Bible opens Saturday in Washington D.C., making it the largest privately-funded museum in the city. A big part of that money comes from the Christian family-run company, Hobby Lobby. Chip Reid reports.

    I work at this establishment (and love my job), so let me explain. This is a museum dedicated to the story, and history, of the Bible. It has no intentions of pressing religions on our guests, but to simply educate on the stories, history, and impact of the Bible itself. While Jesus is included, this is not a museum to worship, or praise him. We welcome many different religions, and people of all regions.

    I WAS planning a 2 hour trip to bring my family to see & tour this museum and pay homage to my Lord and my God, Jesus Christ.
    Shame on them and their business donors for minimizing Jesus, God Almighty! The planners of this museum intentionally decided to remove Jesus from His rightful glory. So, I will NEVER set my foot in this building until Jesus is depicted on His rightful throne there. Jesus is the Name above all names!

Good thing people in the ancient world didn't think that otherwise they wouldn't have anything to put in the new Museum. Some how the wealth displayed in the Temple of Solomon glorified God and at first gathered more wealth .... People from all the nations might come and spend money and the Prophets will be given to charities. Even the business near it gain business . that is he way it works. Why did god create Satan?

    • @Adam-bj5vx
      @Adam-bj5vx Před 5 lety +5

      That's a really good question. "Satan" is actually a Hebrew word (שָׂטָן) which means "the one who opposes" which is the title given to the angel Lucifer after he chose to rebel against his creator. God values free-will over perfection, so he allowed Lucifer to make the decision to deny God and leave his home in heaven (sending him to Earth). A good way to wrap your mind around this is to imagine raising a child whom you love very much, yet decided in his/her teenage years to rebel against you and "oppose" you. You love him/her, so you give them the free will to make their own choices instead of being a tyrant and demanding that they follow you explicitly. Hope that helps, even if your comment was intending on poking holes in Christianity. ✌️

    • @Adam-bj5vx
      @Adam-bj5vx Před 5 lety

      Yes, you’re right. My theology has come a long way since then. Satan wasn’t banished to earth, but was given a false throne as the “prince” of this world until the second coming of Christ. I believe that the devil and his angels, along with God and His angels, are all existing within the same plane which is imperceptible to the human eye. God is the most powerful (all powerful) but he delegates authority to His created beings which is why we see a “divine council” so to speak in Job and other sections.

And look I already analyzed many. They themselves have a little booklet that talks about all the religions that exist, and how to identify which one does what God wants. The other religions I know only deceive people, confuse them and lead nowhere. I know this because I read the Bible, and I know which ones do and don't do what it says. It is because of this. Hugs.

      Here's the problem, their defiantly still pushing a "religious" narrative because the "new testament" was added by Rome 700 years after the last prophet Malachi, the "new testament" does not belong with a book that was known as the Tanakh before Rome changed the name to "old testament", called both books the "bible" to complete their religious deception.
      Hosea 13
      4 Yet I Am YHWH thy Elohiym from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but Me: *for there is NO saviour beside Me.*

      @@TheZenGarden_ that’s actually not true at all. The New Testament not only does belong in the religious text known as the Bible, it was also not added by the Romans 700 years after the Old Testament was completed. In fact the New Testament‘s oldest copy is from 140 BC, and the Romans were actually destroying copies of the New Testament manuscripts when they were discovered because the Romans did not tolerate Christianity the same way they tolerated Judaism. God himself also talks about a messiah, in the Old Testament multiple times. And that the Messiah is going to be part of God himself. Jesus is widely considered to be the prophesies Messiah. They also again aren’t pushing a religious notion. I’ve been to the museum three times and they do talk about some of the stories in the Bible, but mostly talk about the archaeological evidence for the Bible, the influence that has had over the last several thousand years, and the struggle of putting the Bible from Greek Latin Aramaic and Hebrew into common languages like English and German

Both of which were written about 1000 years before Christ was born.
