Reminds me of movie Kutty Chattha, first 3D movie in Bharat. We enjoyed as kids. But now Kanthara has taken a different direction to understand tantra and vedic knowledge.

An interesting podcast delving into the traditional practices of invocation of spirits. Bringing the past sprits (bhoota) alive into the present through a medium intrigued and spooked us in our childhood. 🎉

Even in the buddhist Tantric worship we have Kantaras ........ we call them the various guardian deities. When we cross a certain area on the road we stop the vehicle to pay respect to gateway hill diety . You call them Kantara we call them by our local names. We have a goddes that has a boar head called the Dorjee Phangmu

    Greetings...
I'm a ethnic Tuluva from Tulunāḍụ 🌞🌛. Buuta( not Bhuuta / Bhuutha of Sanskrit) has nothing to do with Vedic culture. It is totally a different belief. Buutolè sugipu is an animistic worship of sprits of animal or ancestors. Don't misguide the people by saying that buutas are Shiva gana( part/ servants of Shiva).

Please don't misrepresent our religion. My family manages Buta shrines. It has nothing to do with Vedic religion. If you don't belong to this culture, you have no right to utter nonsense on social media with your half baked punka-da knowledge.

I think you need to listen in again to get what was being talked about and in what context. Also it’s incorrect to believe that Devatas called Daivas and Butas aren’t coming from Vedic culture. You may need to read more about this across cultures to draw comparisons and then arrive at a conclusion
