I taught my daughter to read with a Dick and Jane book. I told her each first word she came to, and when she saw it again she knew what it was. She just continued to build her vocabulary up with new words. Since I had always read to her and she heard us read aloud at other times also, learning to read for her was like falling off a log! It was so easy. I also started building up a library of books I would pick up at garage sales and thrift stores. She always had books to read, along with the Bible. My daughter is an excellent reader and very smart.

I couldnt control my tears when Billy and his brother didnt know how to read what their mum wrote to them.
It pained me so much as I remembered how my beloved ❤cousin told me she didnt know how to write at all except her own name.
She didnt receive any education when young due to her parents' difficult financial situation.

Unfortunately, now, in 2022, that's what we are loosing in both Europe and USA. Democracy seems to mean very little. Wokism is erasing and twisting history. Governments, politicians, billionairs, are just liars, loving only money and power, trying to put people under a controlled slavery.
In fact, they don't believe at all in real democracy. And that's for decades now.
We must fight again for a new birth of freedom in our countries.

This was so simple, heartwarming, and intense I'm crying because of the cockiness of the two brother's on Little AJoe, his families encouragement and his eventual realization of the huge value he displays upon all the children, and his fight for the education of these students and the father's newfound pride in his son's changing into men, in an instant.

*SOUND PROBLEM REMEDY*
I figured out a while back that when they upload videos with messed up sound, little sound or no sound like alot of the ones this person uploaded that if you use headphones or a separate speaker such as plugin speaker or bluetooth speaker that you'll be able to hear every thing normally. I don't know how or why it works, but that's actually how I watch these things and have sound.
Never has joe put up a worst effort fighting in the entire show.
I guess he didn't want to shame the father in front of his sons.

Anne Helm (the schoolteacher) was also delightful in an episode of The Virginian. She co-starred along side of Tim Matheson (who would later go on to star in Animal House and the rest is history). The Virginian is no longer available to watch for free on CZcams. I have bought two seasons of The Virginian on DVD. My husband and I love it. All of the male stars of The Virginian are gone, except for the actor who played Sheriff Ryker. The actor who played the Virginian died just last year. He was in his nineties.
We are never to old to learn.

I remember a time my father told me of teaching in a one room school in Maine where he had to discipline a big kid. Kid physically bigger than him. He stood 5’5” tall. The kids father let it be known he was going to come down and take him apart after school one day. My father met the father at the door of the school. When the kids father pulled up a double barrel shotgun my father pointed a .45 caliber semiauto. That ended the threat.
They didn't have a semi auto back then and a double barreled shotgun beats a pistol any day of the week even today.

James obviously wasn't inferring that his father lived during the Bonanza era of the 1860's so it was entirely possible for his father to have brandished a .45 semi-auto pistol. A scatter gun may do more damage at close range than a .45, but if the .45 was already pointing at him and he fired the shotgun the reflex action would likely cause his father to squeeze the pistol trigger putting a .45 slug in the kid's father's belly and out his back. Neither would survive and no doubt that's why the conflict ended.
