Depends where you are and go. Salons are a joke and a DUB. Theyre worse then car mechanics. Espescially if you go into one not owned by whatever your ethnicity is.😅😅 nah but FR, theyll literally disrespect you without saying a word (in common language) by handing you the check/price, untill you dont come back just bc of the price.
The best thing to do, is literally just goto the dope spots/projects/hood of your area, and walk around asking who is the nicest with braiding locally. The crackheads will take you to their front door for a 5$ hit. And GUARENTEED whoever has the REP in the hood, does them for 25% of the salons prices, and does 5X BETTER work. One thing young black, girls and women in the hood DO . NOT. PLAY .BOUT is their HURR!!. 😅😅

I tried to do it last night but unfortunately I didn’t get the same hair so the hair I got was trying to tangle up when I was trying to wind the rubber band around my hair
Rubber bands add unnecessary tension to the hair. I did this style recently but instead made a small plait and used a crochet hook to add the hair. Same style achieved without rubber bands

Do the rubber bands make the braids last longer though? Im new to learning how to braid my own hair so just wanted to ask.
By small plait, do you mean only plaiting a few cm up from root before doing the rest of this same method (the wrapping of the one piece of hair & then twisting) ? If this what you mean, Have you had any sort of unraveling come from your method?
@@thatfreckledfitgirl5108 rubberbands can cut into hair or cause breakage. If this is a short-term style, like a week, it's ok. Otherwise soak them in oil or put hair grease on them first. Make sure your hair also remain oiled/moisturized while wearing the style.

Very cute outcome using a seemingly effective & fast method. However, its the take down for me 😮💨💇🏾♀️... otherwise to minimize breakage, I'd suggest oil rubberbands & try not putting too tight to scalp. Would also not manipulate hair too much or leave in head past maybe a month for fear of roots getting nesty & matted at base of twists.
