I'm an avid fan or BND and been to sicogon island twice. This episode is greatly showcasing PH tourism in this underrated region of the country. Great job! However I was a bit disappointed on the part where they take pitcher plants (whether you're a local or not) Hope the show will also promote how to travel responsibly and leave no trace. Imagine how many viewers who watch this, will do the same thing. I'm a former employee of the developer responsible for what Sicogon is today and we always consider environmental sustainabity in every project that we manage. We're not perfect but let's keep on improving. 👌🏻 I'm still giving it a thumbs up!

I have been to many islands in the Philippines and have stayed in some of the finest secluded places. Whenever I ask who owns this or that resort or house, I usually get similar answers: "Pag-aari ni Mayor" and sometimes "Pag-aari ni Governor". Smaller resorts, hotels and inns on the other hand are owned by the locals who are married to a German guy (or any other European). When I ask the locals who owns the fishing area, I get varied answers like: "Sa Mayor" or "Sa Governor" or "Malaysian" or "Mga Intsik". As I enjoy travelling around, reality starts to set in. It seems that most locals don't own much and many of the women dream about finding a white man, others are on the look out for some opportunities in Hong Kong, Singapore, and the Middle East. When I ask the young lads what they want to be when they get older, they usually say "Gusto ko mag-seaman." For tourist, the islands pristine shores and insane aquamarine waters are vacation goals but they eyes of many young locals are fixed beyond the golden sunset.

Maganda ang Sicogon kasi taga rito ako....ngunit sa likod nito naghihirap naman ang mga tao dahil sa hindi maayos ayos na bahay na kong saan pinipigilan ng mga AYALA AT SIDECO...saan ang justice dyan...pinapakita nyo lang ang maganda ngunit ang kasulungat nito...naghihirap kami....pls naman Drew...bumalik at tanungin nyo ang mga taong magsasabi ng katotohanan...maganda ang episode mo...thumbs up ako...pero sana ipakita naman ang mga estilo ng pamumuhay ng mga tao rito...hindi yung puro sarap lang....

Weekend get away Lang namin ang Sicogon noon, May kaklase kami diyan... At anjan pa yung malaki ng puno ng Balete. Diyan nagshooting ang Pinakamagandang Hayop s Balat Ng Lupa ni Gloria Diaz , kaya me airport sila. Maganda At dinivelop ulit nila.

Mas accessible ang Sicogon and other neighboring islands at Estancia, I think dapat sakop sila ng Estancia town, juat sayin'.
@@haroldg.taladro4008 I think because of the History. Estancía is part of former Badiang (Carles) and today known as the Town of Balasan in Iloilo. I don't know much of the history about it so correct me if I'm wrong.

Matagal ng "Heart of the Philippines" ang Iloilo, Kaya nga City of Love dba? Malalambing mag salita ang mga Iloilo at korteng puso ang island, it's not the literally the location of heart in a person referring to upper middle, this is a GEOGRAPHIC not a human body. It's about the characteristics kung bakit ito tinawag na "Heart of the Philippines", I'm from Manila but hindi ko kilala ang Marinduque na heart of Philippines, I didn't fall in love with it when I go there.
