    I just installed this remote start on my 2011 Sonata and it works great. I like the auto lock feature, it's nice that you can park your car and just walk away and it will lock. Super nice that you don't have to do any extra steps to lock the car. Also love that I don't need an extra key fob to carry like most systems require. Install was easy 20min total I did take the plastic trim under the steering wheel off like in the video and also the under that the stainless steel support bracket. It was only 4 screws and one nut that made it easier to fit bigger hand up to the start/stop button. Hope this helps others.

    I put in my daughter's 2011 and it works great! Only issue I am having is with my passenger tail light. I have changed bulbs(they didn't burn out I found out later) I changed the bulb socket and the whole 4 bulb harness and still have same exact issue. When lights come on for the first time after not being on for a few hours, the one taillight goes off after about 3 minutes. Then if I switch lights on and off after that, it only lights for a second or two. I wriggle wires and no flicker or anything. Bulb not blowing and works on drivers side no issue. All this started after putting auto start in. Any ideas on what to do?

    • @MarkDavidd
      @MarkDavidd Před 2 lety

      Get new taillights. It’s a problem with that generations tails. It will burn out any halogen you put in that housing. Idk if LEDS will fix the problem bc the housing harness is what’s burning the bulb but I got aftermarket taillights (VLAND) and haven’t had the issue since. Almost 2 years now.

      @@Jcohen65 the way I "found" the wires was remove the stero and then you can see the wires connected to the button. It's tight also but you stick hand in and remove connection and then install the new one and then connect it again. Other way would be to stick hand underneath steering wheel and blindly feel around for wire behind button and remove it and then blindly try and plug new wire back into the push button. Removing stero was easiest for me.
