    Third Year PT Student. I've been coming back to this series of videos since way back in first year Gross Anatomy, and as I'm studying for the NPTE, after all this time, I have yet to find a more informative video on spinal pathways. Thanks for providing a wonderful learning source.

    Sorry, its meant to be a "general" spinal cord segment. It could be the thoracic I suppose but I haven't drawn it to have the features of any specific segment.

    thanks for the video, yet since u look like having knowledge in CNS, I have always wondered how does our thought process go? I mean how do that Neurons locking together make us realize something or have a thought? another question, as how our genetic material is saved in DNA in the form of nuclear bases etc... in what form our memory is formed? I mean the molecular memory mechanism and physiology?
    if you could provide a simple answer or vid.
    ps. am a second year medical student

    Hi Maks, in short what I mean is that senses and perception are not the same. The video mentions the lateral spinothalamic tract and claim it 'carries information of pain'. This is not just a simplification but a massive misinterpretation. If correctness was not the issue (as this is only the intro/overview) one might simplify it as 'nociception' instead.

    This diagram is as from the prone position? this can confuse people who are used to observing anatomy in the true anatomical position or alternatively supine.

    There are several factors in reducing neuropathy at home . One resource I discovered that successfully combines these is the Nats Neuro Site (check it out on google) it's the most helpful resource that I've heard of. look at the extraordinary information .
