Astronomy is a science that seeks to explain everything that we observe in the Universe, from the comets and planets in our own solar system to distant galaxies to the echoes of the Big Bang. By studying the cosmos beyond our own planet, we can understand where we came from, where we are going, and how physics works under conditions that are impossible to recreate.

Y’know it’s sad when we look at the sky and see the midnight sky with white dots in it. If it weren’t for us, there’d be no light pollution and we would the see our galaxy better. It’s sad when you think about it. Space is mesmerizing and terrifying, that’s what makes space so incredibly unique.

@@princezuko7073 I don’t really know why it’s the sun, it caught my interest specifically, i remember back when I was a kid I just picked up a fat book about space and fell in love with how the sun looked.
- I started reading more into different planets and the sun just stuck with me. Even to this day.
It looks like.. a giant ball of magma, spinning around out there. It’s so cool, and beautiful!
- The fact that it’s so incredibly hot too, living without it would be literally impossible.
It would get unbelievably cold and without sunlight, wouldn’t create plants from bacteria, later used to develop other species like animals and us humans.
The sun is incredible, and we really should appreciate it instead of complaining about how hot it is.
- I really would like to see how it looks up close, but attempting that would burn you into a crisp in around 25 million degrees in Fahrenheit, and 10 to 15 million degrees in Celsius.
Hell, it can even get up to 50 million degrees, if not more when reaching the center of the sun.
