How to do a burst shot? I cant find the option in my sj5000wifi, but the sjcam website says it has such function. The only options i see are the photo/video mode, video lapse and photo lapse. Thanks in advance

I like this, especially the price. My concern is the warranty. Does it come with at least one year warranty? If it breaks, do I have to ship it to China for repair?
If you get a sj5000 you have the option for 2 year warranty for 15$. I just bought the cam last night :)

SJ4000 can only record 720p as a webcam (USB->PC). Can the SJ5000 do 1080p as a webcam?

hi , couple of questions.. 1 , can i use this as dashcam on my truck ? ... 2. if i connect this sj5000 plus to my laptop in my truck, while using as a dashcam , would i be able to use the external hdd as video storage?
1. You can use, but as dashcam I recommend dedicated dahscams, for example A118C, Mini 0805, 0806, 08074, 0809 series.
2. You can store only on internal SD Card. If you want bigger storage, the Mini 0806 is advertised to work with 2pcs of 128GB cards, but I have no confirmation about which cards cand do this job because not all are supported. Try to ask at mini0806.com or on dashcamtalk Mini 0806 forum.

Michael Mtz When compare to XiaoYi camera, which one better for video recording (day light and night) quality?
I will not have a Yi camera because I don't like cameras without display or missing accessories. If Yi will have the same accessories as SJCam will cost more than SJCam which is already at the limit price for a chinese product.
I will have another camera with display which I consider to be better than SJCam, but maybe next month. It is still developing.
For sure somebody from CZcams will make Yi comparisons, I will not.

This is depending how much you can see the differences between them regarding video quality and how much you can pay for this difference. For many people this difference is not enough for money asked and still want SJ4000 or M10.

SJ5000+ has time-lapse VIDEO, so you do not need unite photos in video.
Have also Photo Lapse, not only Video Lapse, check this review.

Max resolution for both is 1080p. Max framerate is 60FPS but only for SJ5000+.

Strange wireless but not Bluetooth, i think this is big minus .. An external mic is on bike or in better weather a must. So no Bluetooth or USB mic is possible... Very pity! Maybe is the print plate same as the sj4000? If so than can be solder a mic 3.5 mm female jack. On CZcams are videos with how to make this truth. Anyway I do not know why the Chinese inventors not calculate this microphone item.

No remote control as for GoPro. Maybe a future camera will have such option.

Hello, could you tell me what storage type the SJ5000 plus has? I mean it looks like a micro SD but I've read somewhere its SDHC up to 32 GB, can you please confirm this for me so I don't go wrong while buying it?
Yes, it is MicroSD. You can buy 32GB MicroSD cards but my advice is to avoid Sandisk right now. They had some bad batch which was not working OK with some dashcams. Is very possible SJCam to not have any problem with Sandisk but I don't have any card from Sandisk. I tested with Samsung, Toshiba, Transcend all SDHC and no problems. You should have no problem with any brand.
HD2You Thanks for the reply, so basically any MicroSD (preferably not Sandisk) will do? I did see a video that showed the camera not working when the MicroSD was inside it, but then did work when he took it out. That's mainly the reason I want to be sure that I am buying the right thing. Also one more question: Do the SJ4000 and SJ5000 use the same battery as the SJ5000 plus? And is there anything else I should get that doesn't come with the camera?

I have the older SJ4000 and I'm using a 64GB MicroSDXC with no problems at all but since the SJ5000+ has an Ambarella chipset you might I advise you to be careful.
The best is to insert and empty fresh formatted card on PC as FAT32.
Yes, the battery is the same for SJ4000, SJ5000 series made by SJCam. The fake SD28 named as SJ4000 battery is not the same as the SJ4000 battery made by SJCam.
Look at sjcam.com accesories maybe you need something from there, for example if you need spare batteries, AV Out cable, car gadgets. But with default package the camera have everything you need and even more.
Dashcams with Ambarella chipset are working with SD Cards bigger than 32GB. You can see users feedback on dashcamtalk.com forum. When you are using bigger cards you need to format the card as FAT32 on PC, with SmartDisk_FAT32_tool.exe which was already texted and working.

HD2You Thank your for that info. I have seen in other youtube reviews that they are having problem with turning the camera on. They say sometimes in turns on and sometime it does not. Do you encounter the same?
I never had this problem. Also I see a video from Hungary with a non-starting camera. Maybe they are using some MicroSD cards which contain something camera don't like.
There are new versions of firmware and already they added some delay regarding wireless. Maybe this was the problem because the wireless settings are written into the card.
The best is to power on the camera without card and after inserting the card to format it using camera menu.
