As far as I remember,G Toengi left the Philippines to try her luck in Hollywood after making it big in Philippine showbiz pretty much same time with Ruffa G. One thing with Gizelle,napakaganda,napaka-articulate at smart na talaga nya at a young age even Martin Nievera noticed her right away.

Do not generalize G. I have an aunt who has lived in the US for almost 60 years. My relatives in the US have always been proud of their heritage and have not put premium on English speaking. We have always communicated in Ilocano. They come home, no twang, and they come to help organizations in the Philippines. I am sure all Filipinos have to adapt in order to survive but do not judge what their intentions are just because they acquire a twang.

She was really fun to watch along with that MTV Guy before, puro kulitan clang dalawa. 😅 Sya ung ang ganda ganda pero walang arte s katawan at sobrang real lang. At a very young age, sobrang independent n nia unlike ung mga young actresses ngayon, sobramg mga pabebe. Gosh I miss you G!!!!!!! Iba ang 90s actors tlga. Mas may substance cla at mas magaganda. Sana mkgawa k p ng maraming movies and hosting job. Kakamiss ka. 🥰

It’s nice to hear her story, I always thought she left her chance to shine more in the Phils. She’s very articulate and expressive, feels like she’s more of a theatre actor than film. I always love her face tho. I can relate her living offshore and working hard balancing family, work and some me-time.

My own opinion and I do respect every single opinions bout’ twang … cause I work in a call center here in the Philippines and it’s more of teachin’ us how to pronounce it right and understandable. But then and again I understand Miss G’s opinion. Hindi naman dahil gustong maging “Americano” it’s just that … western is more open and you can speak your mind out.
This is so true. Im here in US for about 8 years now. Ibat ibang tao at race ang nakakasalamuha ko sa work, and honestly very straightforward sila. You can speak your mind. Dito talaga nadevelop yung self confidence ko. Dati mahiyain ako, but now im not anymore. Its just i don't speak tagalog if may iba kameng kasama na can't speak and understand tagalog, for me its rude. If they talk to me in tagalog ,for sure tatagalugin ko din ang kausap ko. And you know, a lot of people in US knows that filipinos ay masipag.
But sometimes you need to be careful, some other filipinos can't really speak and understand tagalog, hindi dahil mayabang sila or ano pa, its because, some of them dito talaga lumaki sa US, kagaya ng mga anak ko, they didn't know how to speak tagalog, (konti lang) nahihirapan ako turuan sila kase im the only one who speak tagalog sa bahay. Thats why i don't really judge filipinos na hindi nakaka intindi ng tagalog
@@myeverydaylife5529 shrueee … ako minsan right after my shift sa Call Center … minsan napapa … “English” pa din example pag uwi or minsan you hang out wit’ your colleagues sa work then … you go somewhere pag nag uusap minsan may english na may twang … so syempre … people around think na … pa sosyal (or worst ang tingin is TH trying hard !!! Hahaha …) or pa impressed na hindi naman talaga … its more of culture na din … ewan … basta … sa tingin ko lang hindi naman sa gusto natin maging “American”.
