BD doesn't have the best of international reputations but this guy has come out of his comfort zone and has handled what most people, including Bangladeshis, would find frustrating and overwhelming with patience and respect, except for that incident at the cricket stadium but I'll excuse him on that. In fact, I would not be surprised if he gets a job offer from the Bangladesh Tourist authority to promote the country to the global tourist community...Other VLogs on BD are comparatively dull and boring in comparison...

The fact the kid never asked for money or really pestered you made me even happier you rewarded him. He may not have been a beggar and just a kid with no where better to be. He seemed happy just to be around you without needing anything else in return. Whatever his story he had a good heart to recommend giving to the poor kid. I hope good things happen for them both.

I am a Bangladeshi guy bought up in Dubai and residing in Dubai for last 26 years. We used to go for visit in Bangladesh every 2 years or so but due to out break of Covid and many other personal roadblockers, we couldn't go for almost 5 years. Its great to see so many foreign CZcamsrs having fun in my country. That kid didn't follow you for money. Glad that you understand that. Usually, people who are less fortunate here in Bangladesh feel curious when they see foreigners and often act in a way that most folks think they are weird. I am not saying that none of those folks asks for money, some of them do for sure and foreigners should understand that it's not a hugely developed country where all of the citizens are wealthy.
